I am huge into rock and metal, but when i am feeling more mellow, Keane and Muse are just amazing. 2 sides of the spectrum there.

I listen to so much shit music, I've given up feeling embarassed about it.
Same. I like ABBA, Country and Western, Cheesy Pop, Show-tunes, 50's rock etc. The general rule is if its on BBC Radio 2's track list, I'll give it a go. For some reason a lot of people I know think I should be ashamed of liking classical music as well.

once in a while I'll find myself listening to all the shitty pop punk bands from the beginning of the decade (New Found Glory, Something Corporate, Finch) that i listened to when i was like, 13 and didn't know any better, and feeling glad that no one is in earshot.

I don't even feel bad about liking Paramore though. Probably because I'd like to split Hayley Williams like a wishbone.

I like whoever the hell I like, and I'm not ashamed. Really, my iPod has the craziest, most eclectic range in the world. Also, other than the 'everyone else does, so it must be cool' reaction, I don't know why so many people hate good bands like Green Day, Rise Against and NICKELBACK. Yeah, I said it (CAPS because it's the one I've noticed being ragged on most).
