Your National Anthem: Do you like it, and what would you change it to?

I agree. Though I would realisticly consider changing some of the wording. Like removing the slavery thing. Other than that I think it fits America very well. I just hope that we can "live up" to the song. So I prepose we fix our shit before we adopt it.

Compared to Australia's national anthem, America's is bliss.

No joke, our anthem sucks. A lot. I just can't get behind it.

But the USSR's anthem.. Damn. Just listening to that song makes me want to become a communist.

As a side note, England really needs to revamp it's anthem. God Save The Queen seems so...outdated.

I'm swedish, and I think we've got a great National Anthem. The only big downer though, is that for some reason, the goverment thinks that the song is "racist". No it fucking isn't! Because of this, we are not allowed to sing the song in schools anymore...

We totally do need a revamp. It wasn't fun sitting through the 6 Nations at Uni in Aberystwyth surrounded by Welsh people, listening to your great anthem and our shit one. We need a new one, if only to give sports fans something more rousing to sing!
