I don't think I had much choice. I was raised without television, and encouraged to read, which meant I was operating on a different set of cultural assumptions from my peers.

I've been a nerd since I was a very small one. My first major purchase was when I saved up $100 for 2MB of RAM for my 386 (true geeks have fun with the timeline math).

I still know how to program in DOS/QBASIC.

I've got 12 first place regional, 12 first place state, 1 bronze national Science Olympiad medals (yes, I won them. Our team also placed 9th and 7th nationally in 2 separate years).

I've got the molecular symbols for caffeine and nicotine tattooed on the insides of my ankles.

I once broke up with a girl because she said John Cleese wasn't funny.

My hobbies include Extreme Botany (don't ask).

I did my online testing for Jeopardy last night.

I started playing D&D lately, and I'm going to DM for the first time on Sunday. D&D is more fun than any RPG I've played, and very, very cheap. My expenses on it were about $10 worth of dice.

I watch the new animated Star Wars cartoon The Clone Wars (it's miles ahead of the movie with the same name, trust me ^^).

I have a crippling fear of real life women.

I prefer a night gaming to a night out.

Yeah, I'm pretty much hopeless ^^
