One does not simply take a break, even if I've been losing a whole lot and I am very pissed at this point.

One does not simply wait foolishly hoping for a holiday deal to get better on Steam.

One does not simply expect the recently closed GameCrazy to have any good used retro consoles on stock and then sell them for anything $30 or below.

One does not simply accept that I have to make an account for both EA and Relic if I want to play Alice and Company of Heroes single player.

One does not simply like the fact that most WiiU Kiosks in the area only have one game demo to play.

One does not simply Finish playing Luigi's Mansion/Mario Sunshine after completion.
One does not simply let Kanye into his Zone [http://www.kanyezone.com/].
One does not simply find enjoyment only once in a game soundtrack I really like.
One does not simply walk casually with their team across The Parish Bridge (I'm so sorry).
One does not simply enjoy the home base missions in Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Seriously, it can't be done.
One does not simply spend money wisely on multiplayer maps I haven't even used because I don't play multiplayer.
One does not simply Start over once in San Andreas/IV or Oblivion.
One does not simply avoid going to Chorrol first every time.
One does not simply leave any expendable civilians alive. EVER
One does not simply feel disappointed about Fighting is Magic. [small]You buy Cider and pour one for your homies.[/small]

Hmmmm...

One does not simply walk past an interactable object without poking it (no matter what it may or may not do).

One does not simply leave a conversation without exploring all of the dialogue options.

One does not simply GET INTO A SLAP FIGHT WITH A BANSHEE AND SURVIVE.

One does not simply walk into Mordor when freerunning is an option.

One does not simply hoard every unique item they find instead of selling it, no matter what its stats are.

I'm honestly not entirely sure how the meme is supposed to work with negatives/double negative at the moment, so I'll leave it to others to untangle the meanings.

That's all I've got for now.

IamQ said:
For me it's that I can't leave any side quests behind. I've played almost 10 hours of Witcher 2, and I have yet to leave the first town because of the side-quests.

I have yet to try out Dragon Age: Origins. I dread the moment I start the game.
My very first play through of DA:O doing every side quest took me about 60 hours. My second file doing every side quest was down to 42 hours. I think I got down to ~35 hours on my third playthrough. It doesnt take as much time as you may think, and it's a great game to just play a few hours of here and there

One does not simply beat a secret boss in a Kingdom Hearts game on their first go....

One does not simply wait until the mag is empty to reload.
One does not simply save just "once in a while".
One does not simply use a wide assortment of available skills and weaponry.
One does not simply leave remaining enemies alive.
One does not simply go through a loot filled game without carefully replacing a weapon every ten minutes.
One does not simply stand by.

Some more tropes that I've thought of.

"One does not simply hack anything in one try in System Shock 2"

Seriously, I've killed myself like 200 time on messing up hacking.

One does not simply remember to save frequently in Mass Effect 1.

Remember that game? I can't tell you how many times I died and suddenly realized I had to go all the way back to the start of a mission losing over an hour of progress. Ya sure you can save the game literally whenever you want from the main menu screen but who actually remembers to do that all the time when you're engrossed in what's happening. MASS EFFECT, WHY YOU NO AUTOSAVE!!!

One does not simply obtain the "one does not simply..." achievement in Lego LOTR

Oh, wait...

One does not simply play Half Life 2: Episode 2 without squishing EVERY antlion grub.
One does not simply play as Isaac Clark without restoring power to EVERY primary system, in EVERY ship.

"One does not simply order a satellite and call it a day"

And I've been replaying DMC3, so this feels appropriate:

"One does not simply beat a ~10 minute mission in 10 minutes"

One does not simply complete Sonic '06 (the buggiest sonic game ever on ps3).
One does not simply play as Issac Clarke and not stomp every corpse.
