wow, and i ever thought every american is only using mac OS. i didn't know windows is everywere as popular as in germany.

Lol..windows is the most popular OS in the world...Also you will love the switch to Win7.

I warn you it will seem strange and take about a few days getting used to but I would NEVER go back to xp ever..i see XP at school and grimace at it..thats how much better 7 is.

My first OS was Windows 95. Or maybe it was 97 or 99. Did they even have those?

Started with a Windows ME, and when that just stopped working completely (not that it worked very well to begin with), I upgraded to Vista, which I am still using at the moment.

I use windows 7 home premium, i have no use for any other OS.

First one I used was 95 I believe but that was when I was a kid.

The first OS i knew how to use was XP, skipped vista and went straight for 7.

hey guys, simple question: which operating system do you use?
i had the idea of this thread because i'll switch from windows xp to windows 7 tomorrow and i'm very sad about it. 9 years ago i started using pc's, and i started with win xp, and i never used anything else.

now you. what do you use? what was your first OS?

I feel your pain, I'm upgrading to 7 tomorrow to an so far what I've used of it made it look like shit. Then again I grew up with 98 and 2000 so I'm use to having control over my computer. And menu buttons I can read to find out what they do (seeing how most current OSs switched to hieroglyphics).

I've got Snow Leopard for my Mac, which I use for all my art and stuff, but my PC has a fudged up Windows Vista, which I'm exchanging for Windows 7 x64 soon.

This computer is dual-booted Mac OS X and WIndows 7. I don't remember what my first OS was, but it was definitely one of the "Classic" Mac OS's from the 90's.
