Vista 64bit here. I've actually got a copy of Windows 7 lying about that I could install, but I'm going to wait for my traditional 6-month reinstall to put it on this machine.

Thanks for the nice thread.

Here's my multi hex-a-boot setup. ;)

GNU/Linux Mint 10 (my main OS since 2010, I use it for pretty much everything I need from a daily-use OS; Ubuntu/Debian-based), WinXP SP3 & Win 7 (for gaming/DirectX and Windoze-only apps), Ubuntu 10.10 (for fixing LM and as a backup Linux distro) and 2 empty partitions for testing other OSs (mainly other Linux distros).

XPs and Wolvix live cd for rescues.
I have some other XPs, Linuxes and sevens installed but I rarely use those.

Windows Vista x64.

Aside from a few GUI designs I could care less for, it works like a charm.

Windows 7 64-bit operating system.
I use it just because it seems smoother than XP was and it is far less clunky then Vista was. I am perfectly content with what I have.

Windows 7(X86). Reason being it's the most widely supported currently; I'm not a fan of OSX for many reasons and Linux just doesn't have the support it should for most things. And the X86 is because... well I just don't have more than 4Gb of RAM.

Hmmm... Ubuntu 10.10 on my D620 lappy (soon most likely Xubuntu 11.04), Ubuntu 10.10 on my GX520 (Xubuntu 11.04), Win7Ent 64-bit on my i7 2600 rig, simply because it's a trial version and I ain't gonna shell out $205 for a OEM version of 7Ultimate SP1 [http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=375_974&products_id=16917], let alone $369 for a RETAIL copy of 7Pro SP1 [http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=375_974&products_id=12878] or $379 for 7Ultimate SP1 [http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=375_974&products_id=12933]!
And those are the CHEAPEST prices for those 3 online here in Aus (can't exactly qualify for a Student discount, but I can for the Enterprise Trial).

I was running Windows XP until I got my new computer with Windows 7. I was a little hesitant at first and there are still somethings that I find annoying, but overall I think it's an improvement, especially over Vista.

I use it because it's what came with my PC and I don't want to change it. I dislike the Mac OS (not just blind hate, I have actually used it quite a bit and just don't enjoy it) and I don't have the patience to install Linux.

Windows 7 64 bit. Had it for about 4 days, I can now run Dragon Age origins at 30+ fps maxed out, it actually has responsive controls. I hate you Vista, with a burning passion.

Windows Vista.
I really don't see why everyone hates/hated on Vista so much, its really not as bad as everyone makes/made it seem.

Having said that, I'm actually pretty eager to upgrade to Windows 7. Less because Vista sucks, and more because 7 is awesome (and my actual hardware is junk).
