Normally install a suite of like 6 or 7 programs from the off, so I dunno what my first 3 would be. Actually number one would be Opera, but then I'd grab VLC, WinRAR, AVG, possibly OpenOffice, Steam and uTorrent.
drivers (if they dont count then everest)

steam, firefox, css/1.6, tf2, imgburn and xfire come right after. theres actually another ocing program i usually install before vlc but as soon as i went to type it it went straight out of my head.
