I know a lot of people don't even have cable anymore and so get their daily does of TV from Netflix, Hulu, and the internet, but if you were in charge of a TV channel, what would it have on it? It can be anything you want, new episodes of canceled shows, and you can create my own programming.
Mine would start at 8am with Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Freakizoid, MEGAS XLR, Batman Beyond, Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, and Johnny Quest. Then at noon there would be an uncensored movie marathon, starting with the Big Lebowski. After that their would be shows such as Dexter and Tales from the Crypt. Then Adult Swim. And then porn from 3am to 6am. Followed by two hours of knife and sword infomercials. I love those.
Now it's your turn.

Sports, all day, every day. A mixture of Baseball, Hockey, Football and Soccer.

That would be awesome! =D

Frasier in the morning (like on Channel 4), intermixed with episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond from 9 till noon. Then one episode of Firefly or perhaps two back to back.
An afternoon 80's-90's movie of any kind and winding it down to....some decent sci-fi shows such as The Triangle, The Outer Limits (both old and new) and Sliders

*Hopeful look* Can there also be UFC fights?
I don't know. I don't really like UFC all that much. Haven't really given it much of a shot though.

Okay, but only in the really early morning, while I'm not usually awake. :p

Think a mix of Comedy Central, Food Network, Cartoon Network, G4 and, Spike only without CSI or Cops. No Attack of the Show and, the only Japanese show that would air would be original Iron Chef. There would be new episodes of Good Eats as well. Movies would be shown but they would mainly be animated like the DC Comic movies (Under the Red Hood, Superman/ Batman Apocalypse, etc...) Some of the shows my channel would air would be...

1,000 Ways to Die
Batman: The Animated Series
Cheat!
Drawn Together
Good Eats
Iron Chef
Justice League (not Unlimited)
South Park
X-Men (1990's animated series)
X-Play

The infomercials for my channel would all be food based. George Foreman grills, Magic Bullet, etc...

I dunno...that's all I've got at the moment.

NO NO NO NO!

Ahem *cough* no.

not to UFC you understand, but to sport.

Godammit, there's a ton of all sport all day 23 hour sporty sport mcsport channels showing nothing but sport.

Then there's Sky Sports News, which somehow tries to pretend that anything that has ever happened involving sport is in any way news, and then drags it out for 24 hours a day every day.

Some people played some games.

I don't expect Christopher Nolan to come around and film me and my mates playing Buzz or Guitar Hero, so why do we need endless channels devoted to sport?

Which of course I wouldn't mind, if it'd stay there but ohh no. 'oh it's Wimbledon /The Ashes/ the World Cup, we'll have to move or cancel everything anyone has ever turned a TV on to watch because there's some SPECIAL sport on.' NO! There's SPORT channels for that, leave BBC 1 alone.

I don't expect to see strippers for half an hour before 'Songs of Praise', because the porn channels are separate, because not everyone cares for it. Moving favourite TV shows around because some overpaid dunderheads done fall over and cry and need an extra 20 minutes to kick da ball about some more, isn't good.

TL;DR version - I don't like sport much. You've already got endless sport channels, and you don't need another one. I feel I may have slightly overstated it.

However I would say yes to a 'Dave' spinoff, a less blokey, 'FHM' style Dave, less of the 'Top Gear' laddishness, and more of the QI style witty banter.

I'm going to be a hypocrite after my sport rant and say replace all the non comedy shows on Dave with comedy, especially imports like Lucky Louie, Community, Curb your Enthusiasm, etc.

Only because I don't get Paramount Comedy, Comedy Central or any of that good stuff, just the occasional good bits on BBC and Ch4.

This. EXACTLY THIS.
You like, read my mind. ESPECIALLY the Good Eats.

[small]Alton Brown is the god of the Food Network, screw Bobby Flay.[/small]

Except without maybe all the Justice League/Batman/Superhero related (save for Drawn Together) cartoons.

Along with this lovely idea, I'd also add USA and FX. House, Law and Order: SVU, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia would also air on my perfect TV channel.

It already exists, it's called Hallmark, it just lacks a decent movie to be shown weekly.

I would need the following to be played in whatever order

Transformers (G1, Beast Wars, Armada)
NCIS
House
1,000 Ways to Die
Myth Busters
Robot Chicken
SNL
Family Guy
South Park
Manswers.
There's more old cartoons and stuff but that's the junk I watch on youtube.

I would try to have original shows that geared towards specific things like a show about video games in the vein of Gametrailers TV and X-Play. A show that reviewed movies, games, TV, comics, etc. similar to At the Movies. I would love to have Machinima shows.

Have shows about history, science, art just whatever. Music videos, sports shows, guy stuff, girl stuff.

Marathons of great cartoons like Looney Toons and Anamaniacs.

There would be so much different stuff you would never need another channel.

1: Old cartoons, including, but not limited to: Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Batman The Animated Series, X-Men, Justice League, all the old Cartoon Network shows and Nicktoons.
2: All the Pro Wrestling shows, lots of Boxing, and a pinch of UFC and a few other MMA companies
3: An Anime block like Toonami used to be, but make it three hours.
4: Stand-up comedy.
5: A mix of a ton of trivia gameshows (Like most GSN shows), some physical gameshows (think Nick's old show Double Dare) and some Survivor (probably the only reality show I find a little entertaining)
6: Mythbusters, 1000 Ways to Die, Man vs Wild, and Deadliest Warrior
7: House, NCIS, CSI (all shows, alternating per day), Lie to Me.
8: Weekend Movies. Saturdays are live-action movies, Sundays are for animated movies.
