It feels kind of silly getting it from a videogame, but honestly, it's the closest I've ever gotten to a universal philosophy.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and: Even if free will is an illusion, we have no choice but to live as though we have it.

On that note, I can cut my theory of everything down, but not to 10 words.
Essentially I believe every good and evil act, won't actively affect the doer, but is added to a 'pool' of good n evil, ever so slightly affecting the whole world. Sort of a global karma as opposed to a personal one.

Assassins Creed was supposedly inspired somewhat by a book called Alamut in which that same phrase is used. Dostoevsky played around with similar themes, amongst others. Just to lend it a little more creditability and maybe thought you'd find it interesting. Though really it doesn't matter where you heard it first so long as it means something to you.DanDeFool said:
