Gynophobia - I try to avoid talking to or being around women unless they're family or if I'm in a professional setting. This fear comes from being bullied by females, having a crush spit in my eye (my ADHD didn't help matters any) and knowing that all it takes is one serious accusation from one of them and I'm on the sex offender list (which in the US, is basically a death sentence) or in prison. It's more of a hatred than a phobia.

And wasps. I fucking hate wasps more than the above, but not by much.

I had a phobia of spiders, but my friend recently gave me an exposure treatment, so I'm pretty OK with them now.

I know that I am afraid of heights, yet I have a strong passion to fly (yay contradictions! ). I am fearful of large bodies of water. If I can't see land or just barely see it, that's too much for me to handle. Its mostly just knowing that im helpless against the unknown of the water. (Yet I also want to go into space...) I also am afraid of being buried alive and burning alive (yet im a pyromaniac and am fascinated by underground architecture ).

So there you have it, I am a messy contradiction of fears, curiousity, and passion. :D

I don't know the term for it. It's not fear of heights, more a fear of slopes. Like skiing for example, can't do it.

And wet wooden spoons make me cringe, but I don't think that's a phobia.

The most common phobia is arachnaphobia. Fun fact. I have that one. I also really hate deep water. Not swimming pool deep, but, the ocean. Even the thought of being over water thats miles deep, even if I'm not currently there, creeps me the hell out. I even hate it in video games, swimming sections in lakes and oceans. Only if I can't see the bottom though.

Oh and balloons. Can't explain that one, probably scared of the noise when I was a kid, now I just hate them in general. Kids parties are a nightmare for me.

It isn't really a phobia but wet paper and specifically paper in a persons mouth makes me gag. I find wet paper so disgusting it grosses me out so much.

I am terrified of death I think it is because I can't convince myself to believe in life after death so the thought of my existence no longer being is really eery and nerve raking.
Just think of it this way, when you actually die you won't really give a damn will you? So why worry about it until then.
Hope that helps but in the interest of contributing, I'm going to be jaw droppingly original and say arachnophobia. Because fuck spiders. And snakes. And heights.

I'm not hugely keen on heights, but I wouldn't say I have a phobia of them. I've flown a plane, got over the worst of that tendency pretty sharpish...

Ermm.

Oh, there are some kinds of beetle that freak me the fuck out, and I'm terrified of hornets. Not sure if being afraid of hornets counts as a phobia though, it's pretty rational tbh...

1) Acrophobia- Fear of heights. I can usually handle it if necessary (had to fix a roof once) but I'm very shaky. Also I love roller coasters.
2) Claustrophobia- Fear of tight spaces. Got locked in a lot of things as a kid. My older brother held me in a closet for a few minutes (or seconds, can't remember), Got locked in a bathroom for about half an hour, and I got locked in the trunk of a car. And I don't like elevators.
3) Trypophobia- Fear of repeating patterns. Okay so basically things like super close up pictures of insect eyes, hairs, or any unusual pattern on human skin makes me shutter in uncomfortableness.

The one I fear out without ever having been subjected to is Claustrophobia. I got stuck in a few places when i was little but I never really feared it back then, but now I am horrified by the thought of getting stuck somewhere.

One I am working on is arachnophobia, I still hate spiders but am working on getting over it.

I am very nervous around bees also,I don't panic near them but I am very uncomfortable around them.

I'm terrified of bees in general. I just can't function if they're around. I'm also deathly afraid of ticks. Those bastards sole purpose is to drink blood. How is that not terrifying?

I didn't see it on the list & don't know even if it's a thing, but I seem to have a fear of being on an unstable or weak structure & falling off of said unstable/weak structure. Heights don't bother me in fact I love high places. Oh & lets not forget that sudden stop at the bottom when I do fall off. That's really about it, most everything else I'm fine with.

I have a fear of falling. Though I'm fine being up high and being on an airplane, I can't stand being on a ladder or a stool or a platform that I feel doesn't support me.

Normally imagery doesn't make me uncomfortable. It can make me sick, or even disturbed, but not uncomfortable. The one exception to this is objects being stuck in people. I don't know what it is, and I'm not afraid of sharp objects otherwise, but the objects being stuck in people makes me very very uncomfortable.

Wasps. I think it's called Sphecksophobia or something like that. Bees are kind of in there too. It's gotten so bad that I scream if so much as a leaf falls in my general direction or a fly buzzes too close.

A few social phobias, arachnophobia, phobia related to heights and falls but forgot name for that one and... Yeh i think thats all for phobias.

Of the phobia related to heights, i get really panicky when more then 2 or 3 metres from a ground of some sort and one time i took a baloon ride as a kid i was really terrified, looking down below at the ground and people that looked like ants and stuff. Yet i can take planes just fine and have done a fair amount of ferrywheels and rollercoasters in theme parks, so go figure. Guess when you're moving fast through the air its not as scary as when you're relatively immobile.

Don't think I have any, or never encountered anything that triggered it at least. There are some things that make me uncomfortable but those are rational, like heights don't scare me I could go to top of any skyscraper in the world but standing near the edge of cliff with no railings or barrier would make me very cautious.

I really really hate dogs. Any dogs at all, if one comes near me I'm uncomfortable, if they try and jump on me I freak out.
