In all seriousness though, I'd probably cart around my katana set. Katana, wakazashi, tanto. Maybe my jo staff...

I'd probably take my katana though because it's light weight and sharp and I actually know how to use it. You don't have to lop off the head of everything attacking you. Go for legs and trip them up so you can FEAR.

A good quality Lacrosse stick can do some real damage, same with a baseball bat. But for a zombie outbreak I'd go for either a hammer because it's relatively light with good amount of mass, a Cleaver because I'd become known as the Butcher among the survivors.

Or a crowbar, which I'll use my friend math to explain why;

People, you forget that although blade weapon like the Katana is cool and deadly against zombie but you must remember that blood will get on it. The more blood on it, the more blunt it will get. Sure you can clean it with a cloth or pour liquid on it but would you have time to clean it against a horde? Well ok, even it had been cover in blood to the point it's too blunt to cut it maybe be handy as a metal stick?
As for my melee weapon, does a shild (police riot shield) count? A good defence is a good offence.

I myself would go with either a templar sword or a small broadsword. Spears would actually near perfect for this situation (sorry, no coolness factor though) because theyre used to kill someone and push them away from you, but only work in one direction (good in groups) but in all directions or inside, a bit unwieldy.

So yeah, Katanas are cool, but got to go with that double edged stabby power.

Realistically, I would avoid the zombies at all costs, so hopefully I wouldn't need to fight.

However, I would probably choose a simple bo staff, or maybe a bat. Blades would get too dull.

o noez a zombie apocalypse you can only bring ONE weapon and it must be melee ANY be it Excalibur,a laser sword or heck even your own left arm I would go with my right arm why? why the hell not?
PS stuff that requires a modified body (like Ash,s chainsaw hand from the Evil Dead movies) also counts but NO power armor

Well, since your allowing specific weapons the hardest part is to choose which "I win" button I want. I mean there are a whole bunch of magical weapons from various fantasy novels that would pretty much allow me to end the entire apocolypse single handedly.

I suppose the biggest mitigating factor is that all the best ones rely on a specific "chosen one" of some sort to wield. I mean as I'm not The Champion Eternal of I could just say "The Black Sword" (and for Michael Moorcock Fans, I am not talking about Stormbringer which was only half of one of it's incarnations), a weapon which would pretty much allow me to single handedly fight every lord of chaos and demon of hell and every lord of order and their minions single handedly and win if I really got moving. The piddly zombies would have no chance.

Let's say I could go with an entropy blade, which is pretty much primal entropy shaped into the form of a sword blade on a handle. That pretty much kills anything. If it exists, it suddenly doesn't anymore, that's what entropy is all about.

Truthfully though I'd probably take what we used to call the "+20 sword of do anything" which is pretty much a gamer term for any one of dozens of swords in various books (too numerous to list) that pretty much are capable of whatever the plot demands at the moment. Lion-O's "Sword Of Omen's" is an example (which only he can use). We'll call it "The Therumancer Blade", and right now the plot demands I save the world from Zombies.... chaaarge!


I'm surprised no more people didn't think in terms of magic since Excalibur was mentioned. I mean heck, rather than a power fist I'd much rather tap my cane on the ground, reveal it to be Mjolnir as I turn into Thor and deal with the problem that way. Even a lightsaber or power fist is too much like a fair fight. Always opt for overkill!

Also, if I do get bit and become a zombie, I could be king of the zombies since I had a mask on my head and would hope the mask thingy protects me from bullets
