I'm a more cultured gent, I like whisky more than anything else. However, as a student I can rarely afford it, so I tend to just buy cheap lager. However, it's a question of what lager to get. Each does have it's own distinct taste. For example, I can't stand Stella Artois, but I love Fosters. Below is a brief list of some of the more well-known lagers, with my favourite at the top and my worst near the bottom.
- Fosters
- Carling
- Carlsberg
- Heineken
- Stella Artois
As I say though, I much prefer whisky, specifically Scotch (although Irish is good too). Never really been a big bourbon fan, though it can be quite nice. One thing I can't get enough of is mulled wine, though. I've never been a big wine drinker (although I've made my dad promise to save me a bottle of red wine for me when I next go home to visit, as he's started making red wine and various spirits with a home brewing kit we got him for his birthday in August). But I absolutely love mulled wine, and the best bit is it doesn't matter much what red wine I use so I can just get a really cheap bottle and use that. I already have loads of mulled spices, since I bought a massive pack at the German Christmas Market in Leeds last year and never got around to using them (well, I did some once for my housemates when we had a house Christmas meal, but no-one really bothered trying any
