Well, I don't have anything truly rare and unusual, but I've hunted down a few obscure titles. On PSOne I've got Suikoden 1 + 2, Vandal Hearts 1 + 2, Um Jammer Lammy, PaRappa the Rapper, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Discworld Noir, Koudelka, Vib Ribbon, Bust a Groove. On PS2 I've got Gitaroo Man, Rez, Frequency, Mad Maestro, Space Channel 5 Part 2... nothing rare, like I say, but I think there are a few titles there a lot of people wouldn't have heard of. Oh, and I have Story of Thor 2 for Saturn.

Tatics Ogre for the PS1. 70+ dollars for a copy on Ebay. Paid $15 from a friend.
Story goes
My best friend sold the game to another one of my friends for 10 dollars. He had purchased it for 5.
I bought it off of that guy for 15. Haven't let it out of my sights since then.

I've never someone else with Netstorm: Islands at War. But I read that it was, apperantly, a pretty popular game so I doubt it's rare.

I have one of the rarest games EVER.

Read the Cartridge part.

This game is in my safety deposit box at my bank.

My collection includes lots of Amiga, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Xbox, Gamecube, Gameboy and DS titles - some of them are bound to be rare. I reckon my copy of Rez for the Dreamcast is quite rare, but the rarest thing I have would probably be a mint-condition NeoGeo Pocket Colour with several games.

Secret of Evermore on the SNES, Carmageddon and Clay Fighter and Dr. Mario and G.A.S.P on N64

also some transformer-ish game on N64
carmageddon 2 on pc was better than carmageddon 64.

i used to have heavy metal: fakk2; really damn hard, impressive-looking for the time, but a really lame story, just like the magazines and animated movies it's based on. don't know how rare it is, but no-one else seems to know the game. the best was selecting the options menu and hearing the lead chick say "ooooh, tweak my knobs!" yes, ma'am!

How would one know if a game is rare or not?
You can check it out on digitpress.com. They don't have rarity values for this or last (save dreamcast) gen but it's a pretty good source.

My rarest game is probably either Midways Greatest Arcade Hits Vol. 2 for the dreamcast, which is an R5 on digitpress, Bangai-O (Dreamcast), or Alundra (Ps1)

final fantasy 7 non- greatest hits... I think that's pretty rare?

and I also have valkyrie profile non greatest hits

and maybe tales of the abyss (popular but really hard to find nowadays for me at least and the one i did find was $70canadian)

maybe a few other rare ones from the snes/nes era but im not gunna go through those

EDIT: OH AND I ALSO HAVE ET AND PACMAN my friend kept em before the video game crash and gave em to me

EDIT 2: i just looked over at my game pile and i have sonic the hedgehog for the sega master system, i was told it can go for $150 since its unopened (never played it i had two at the time forgot how i got em though) and i also have a NES toploader i havnt seen another one yet so i think it could be rare i have a gold OOT from preordering i heard thats the only way to get them gold, but lots of people i know have em and i have the legend of zelda collectors edition for the GCN i heard they go for like $90+

Not sure how rare these are but sure what the hell.

XIII - PC version (found for 2euro 6months after released, bought it instantly)
Sid Meiers SimGolf - PC
Shaun Palmers Pro Snowborder - PS2

Yes I know these are probably common, but you cant find any of these where I live, im not even sure SimGolf was available here.

Ironically, I hvae seen Ed Hunter in shops at least 3 times in the past year, I could probably pick it up for someone if they really wanted it.

Uhh, Theme Park World?
That's about rare as I can get.

All of the other are PS3 games and PC games (Counter-Strike, LotR: Fellowship of the Ring, Quake II etc)
