If you are looking at this thread I can reasonably assume you are alive. The question I would like to ask you is: Why?

What is your purpose?
Your reason for continuing your known existence?
What drives you?

Is it fear of death?
Is it love for somebody else?
Love of yourself?
Is it your career/work?
Your love of life itself?
Uncertainty?

Please note that this is not a questionnaire, I merely set the questions out like that as suggestions and as a way to separate them for people to consider.

Please also note that I am asking this in an individual/personal capacity. I am not asking why humans exist as a species or where we came from.

I would like to also request that everyone shows respect for each others beliefs.

I live for the competition, the joy of exceeding my peers. This stems from a childhood-long mental abuse of my parents calling me worthless and stupid. Thanks mom and dad.

The money I gain doing so goes to people who need it and I feel deserve it (Like my iraq vet brother), as I no longer see anything I want to by anymore, besides a video game here and there.

I will say though, that life itself is getting pretty boring, but I feel that's a temporary symptom of military service.

What is your purpose?

Biologically to give birth, raise the young then rinse and repeat. My personal purpose is to eventually become happy in my own skin and finally enjy life without having issues with myself.

He's basically spent all his time on that thread insulting everyone's taste in metal and flaming Sparrow Tag. He saying that that's his purpose in life.

OT: I think my purpose is just to exist, and make people remember me, what I say and what I do. Other than that, I can't think of much else other than to live.

EDIT: Also music possibly. Write it, listen to it, think musically even.
