First I'd get anything and everything that I could use as a weapon. (Guns, knives, aerosol flamethrowers, clorox bombs, EVERYTHING.)

Then I'd load it all into a Stryker, stock said Stryker with a soda machine, maybe get a monkey, and try my hand at this trading thing.

Wonder where you'd find a Stryker in post-apocalyptia?

I would be the the guy who, before the apocalypse, was a bit of a loser but now has a chance to renew his life. I start my own settlement with a small gruop of folk and try to create a better world.
But I would make many enimies along the way and allies until a final showdown with a local Chief raider clan were i kill thier leader but sacrifice myself in the end as i throw myself at the remaining raiders as the the settlers have a chance to escape.

Just a hunch though...
