It wasn't a rental, I was dooped into buying WET. Without even trying, i burnt through the Q.T. feeling game in about 3 hours. Painful considering it set me back 70 bucks. Traded it the next day, which only brought in 30, thanks EB. It's a renter....AT BEST.

I played through Fable 2 just to see how fast I could do so I wouldn't have to buy the game. Took it back the next day as the store was opening.

Mass effect.
I rented it for 20 minutes before taking it back, sure enough my friends complained i didn't give it enough of a chance so i rented it again about a month later, that time it lasted me about 3-5 hours to see if it had gotten any better later on in the game, sadly it didn't and i let it sit there until the rental ended and took it back.

I rented spidermam for about 3 days before I took it back. It wasn't horrible it's just I got stuck on this one part and lost my patience. It's fine, though. I'm pretty sure I can hazard a guess as to how the game ends.

I rented Vexx for about 10 minutes once. The disc was buggered, so I just took it back.
If we're going on gamelpay, probably House of the Dead: Overkill. I played the first level and just got bored.
Ironically, that's the next game on my list: Overkill.
It looks like I'm going to be getting more than my money's worth this month.

Seeing these responses, I should've added something to make it all inclusive. Like:

What game did you buy, that you immediately wish you had rented?

For me: No More Heroes. It's the game that got me renting again.

Two Worlds.
Picked it up, brought it home, wasted 25 minutes of my life, put it back in the box, brought it back.

I rented Soul Caliber 3 2 and when I tried to play it my Xbox couldn't read the disk so I just went back to the store and got store credit for it. I'd say I had it for about 15 minutes total.

"Resident Evil" on the PS1 or "South Park Rally" (also on PS1). My buddy and i probably spent about 20 minutes on those 2 before taking them back. To this day i still can't understand why "Resident Evil" is so beloved.. (Well, okay, in my older years i can appreciate the cheesiness of the acting.)

"Nintendogs" holds the record for game i returned in the biggest hurry that i purchased.. That's about an hour. It actually caused me to return my entire DS because, at that stage, there weren't many titles out there for the system.

When "Advance Wars DS" came out, though, like a sucker i went back and got another system.

Last game that I returned quickly was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. I got about 10 minutes into that game, and took it back to get something else.

I don't see the point in renting games.
There are plenty of reasons to rent games. You don't want to buy a crap game. You wouldn't want to buy a game for 50-70 bucks only to find out that you can beat it three times in the span of a weekly rental that costs 8 bucks. And you shouldn't have to pay full price for games that are buggy.

Soul Calibur 3 only came out for the PS2. Back on topic, last time I rented a game was in the SNES ages and it was either Secret of Mana or Final Fantasy 3 (6).
Didn't realize. I remembered it was a Soul Caliber game and this was before Soul Caliber 4 came out so I just assumed it was 3. Change my comment to Soul Caliber 2 then.

This. Two Worlds is a scar on the face of gaming.

Pikmin

I played it for about 2 days, then I returned it and bought my own copy of the game. I liked it that much.
