Probably the only thing that has ever had a physical effect on me was listening to the theme song of Gurren Lagann again recently. Let me explain.
I LOVE Gurren Lagann. Despite the shit ending, it showcases one of the greatest examples of brotherhood that I have ever seen in any story telling medium before or since. The anime had an profound effect on me and I still hold the relationship between Simon and Kamina as one of the best examples of compelling friendship ever. That being said, I haven't watched it since I finished it, and I eventually started to forget things about it. Then, one day, I was listening to music on Sound Cloud on random, and a song that I didn't recognize started playing. I was going to skip it, but I felt compelled not to. I let the entire song play in its entirety and looked at the song title after it ended. It was the theme song to Gurren Lagann. I can't really describe how I felt after the song ended, but it had an effect on me that I find fascinating. And I don't think that anything else has ever made me feel that way before.
