I don't learn. This is particularly problematic in Call of Duty: WaW. I die while moving along the map, then I respawn and go THE EXACT SAME WAY, and get killed in THE EXACT SAME WAY.

I am melodramatic; in fighting games especially, I will wait until I can finish my opponent off with the coolest combo possible before I end the fight, even if I could've ended things a long time ago.
I too, do stuff like this. Doing shit like that against Seth from SFIV will teach you REALLY quick not to wait for the super move :)

What stupid habits can you never seem to break out of?

Personally I have three, all multiplayer related:

1. I get too eager to get to the action and run around corners, usually straight into a ninja with a P90 or a sniper bullet to the head.

2. Every time I get a kill I automatically, habitually hit reload (even if my clip is almost full) and THEN sprint away after the reload animation finishes.

3. Revenge-rushing on campers. Instant double-humiliation.
I have exactly the same problems. There was this camping noob that kept on killing me no matter how many times I tried killing him. I ended up throwing my PS controller around and storming out of the room in a fit of anger.

Dipping snuff while gaming. I'll take my hand off my house, to spit into an old coke bottle, and WHAM! I'm dead and couldn't do anything about it.

Random 180's
I will spin around to look behind me constantly, whether there was some sort of cue to do so or not.
Now in multiplayer games this has actually saved me many times when I spin to find someone running up behind me with "I'm gonna knife him in the back" stenciled on their forehead, but in single player games it very often gets me killed. Even more so if I am playing with the sound low or off for whatever reason.

Usually I play with volume off and a song by Astral Projection on really loud. This puts me into a trance-like state in which I become extremely accurate with long-ranged weapons.

But sometimes... I forget to put the music on, and then I don't always hit my targets :|

Compulsive reloading, and a need to check the scoreboard every 5 seconds. I don't know why I do that, but it gets me killed all the time.

I hate waiting for the action, so i enjoy run and gun fun. this usually is offset by the fact that in most new fps when you sprint you cannot fire. Turn a corner, mean person with gun. me trying to stop sprinting

Running into explosives mainly stickies in tf2.
Those demomen are really annoying, specifically that smug little grin he has after getting a kill that shows up perfectly on the killcam.

I either reload after every kill, or aim at feet for some obscure reason. Maybe its skydiving in Doom mods too much, but I've only done that once. :p

I always become to preoccupied with stackin my doods with all the best shit that i get pwned for not focusing, and (if able) i prefer to not use my 99 potions, stem packs, and pillz even in near death situations outta some insane need to have extras laying around for laterz, when i still wont use them later for an even later laterzz.

I usually start out in super-sneaky, "gonna be careful and never get caught" mode in a game like Hitman or Assassin's Creed. But the moment the jig is up, I come out with guns blazing / knives flailing / something not very stealthy. And then don't come back down until either I die a horrible death or get my way.

I believe the second to last assassination in Assassin's Creed is engineered so that you can't run right up and stab the guy to death if you get frustrated. Damn it.

Firing from the hip in all the Call Of Duty's.
Aiming is a little too conformist, but I do seem to fuck it up a little more than I'd like too.
