5 days and I get my braces off, my gums have gotten pretty swollen but once I get this tourture device out of my mouth that should go away.
Enjoy the retainer. It's 50 times worse.

I have had bad teeth for my entire life but now I've gotten expanders, braces and now I have a retainer. I have had metal in my mouth for six years.

i do usually take good care of my teeth, but this is an amazing coincidence because i was sat here eating chocoalate that my dad had put in the fridge, and i swear on my life that i am telling the truth here, about five minutes ago i was biting into a peice and one of my teeth that i had a root canal in a few years ago has just snapped out of the gum, its still in there wobbling around but its very loose and very painful and its going to be at least a couple of days before i can get an appointment at the dentists.

and then i discover this thread.

having good dental hygiene is easy. i recently starting going back to the dentist for routine cleanings after 7 years of not going at all. my new dentist couldn't tell i hadn't been in so long. you know how? brush, floss, mouthwash twice a day. takes all of 10 minutes a day, and saves me from wasting time, money, and anxiety at the dental office.

Teeth scare me. I mean think about it, they're bones that grow through our skin in spikes and are hidden by a little slit in our face. It's like something out of a monster movie. If I think about teeth too much, I'm not able to find someone attractive. Does anyone else have that problem? You pause for a second and realize that this person is an organism full of tissue and organs and blood so it's impossible to find them attractive? Anyways, I'm weird.

OT: I take good care of my teeth and go to the dentist regularly. I only brush once, maybe twice, a day but my dentist says they're remarkably healthy so...

EDIT: AND we scrape that freaky bone and brush it and scrub it to keep it clean. Is that not just gross
well now I do.
Thanks for that.

My teeth are pristine. People actually ask me what whitening products I use, but I don't use any!=)

I brush them twice a day.

As well as resuming regular dental visits, I've started trying to take better care of my teeth. I try to brush, floss, and swig mouthwash twice a day (try - sometimes at night if I'm too tired or on my days off when I don't follow my normal routine, I skip it.) After the mostly positive results of my exam, I feel like I've been given a second chance, and I want to take advantage of it.

I haven't cared for my teeth as well as I should have, but so far nothing bad has really happened. Most of the problem was fixed with fillings, about 10 or so but my molars are in need of some help. I have a cavity on each of the ones that I can see, and I am sure on the ones above my teeth.
