I brush twice a day, usually I'll use a mouth wash between brushing if I get some nasty taste in my mouth. I don't go to the dentist as much as recommended because I can't afford it right now being a full time college student with a part time job that covers food, rent, and the gas it takes to get to work.

IMO, toothpaste is one of the most disgusting substances on the planet. As a result, I usually only brush in the morning before leaving the house.

But on the flip side, I do floss every day and rinse with Listerine, but the Listerine is mostly to get the taste of toothpaste out of my mouth.

Lucky for me I have naturally good teeth. I have only gotten a few cavities in my whole life and all but one of them were when I was little (baby teeth).

Fell off a wall as a kid and split my front tooth in half, root canal and a load of white filling later and it looked okay. These days its yellowy grey (Dead for almost 10 years) and urgently needs to be replaced with a crown.

One of my front canines was snapped in half when I tried to open a bottle with my mouth as a kid, so I've got a fang one side and a chipped tooth the other.

Half my molars are silver from all the damn mercury fillings I've had, wayyy too much chocolate back at school.

I also can't get my teeth properly polished, because my front tooth would just look dark grey against a row of white teeth. Plus I'm English so they're naturally yellowed a little.

So what can I say? When I finish my degree and have some income I'm gonna pay some dentist a fortune to sort my gob out. On the bright side, at least they're naturally straight, and most people I know say they look fine.

Basically I recommend staying away from Chocolate, drinking lots of Milk, and NOT to go climbing stuff.

Every 2-3 days? Gross. How can you stand that?

I take good care of my teeth. I know genetically I have good teeth. My great grandma who died about 2 weeks before she would've turned 100 (born in 1896) had her original teeth when she died. I intend on keeping mine for a good long while.
Although, I had my first cavity last year though it was in that spot where two teeth touch and it's hard to clean without floss. I just kept missing it I guess.

I use teeth whitening wash, then I brush my teeth, then I use mouth wash, then I floss. And I do that two times a day..sometimes 3.

I haven't had a cavatie since I lost my milk teeth, which is good since I hate the dentist.
With a little luck my final wisdom tooth will come up ok and I won't have to have it removed, I didn't have any problems with the others which I hear is pretty rare.

I brush every day and use mouth wash (floss is weird for me so I don't use it)

I inherited weak enamel from my mother, so I'm always scared I'm going to lose them to something silly.

Braces made my teeth all straight and pretty looking, but I knocked a tooth back :(

And the tooth behind my top left canine is super sharp for some reason.

Every morning and night they get brushed and a swish of mouth wash.
I don't like flossing, it feels weird.

Man, I just got done flossing and rinsing, but normally I fail to do anything but brush two or three times a day. I sometimes skip the dentist for a year ofr two and subsequentley have to endure a pretty nasty cleaning. So all I can say is be sure to floss.

rofl. 'Big Book of British Smiles' from The Simpsons episode: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Exit_to_Springfield

Just an FYI: if you brush your teeth twice a day, use floss at least once a day, and rinse with a mouthwash, you'll markedly improve your breath. Yeah, all that crap between and on your teeth makes you have bad breath.

I got kinda hosed in the teeth department, not only were my teeth all twisted around and crooked (wore braces for 5 years), but I had a super-high fever when I was 2 or 3, when my teeth were forming, and as a result, the calicum didn't spread equally throughout the tooth buds, therefore I have inherent weak points in my teeth, along with them being slightly mottled in color.

One of my desires is to just have them all capped, but perversely, I hate hate HATE the dentist, and go only as often that my wife guilts me into going.

I'll brush 'em once or twice a day, mouthwash too, but I'm not obsessive. Haven't been to the dentist in about ten years but they're in pretty good shape, apart from the one at the back that I broke on a particularly hard bit of food and has been crumbling to bits ever since. It's not visible unless you stick your head right in my mouth and it doesn't hurt, so I haven't bothered doing anything about it yet.

I had braces as a kid, though not the kind that were attached. This resulted in me losing them. Or, more honestly, throwing them out because they fucking hurt. Keeping them would've required regular doses of morphine or something to keep the pain off, I didn't really fancy going down that road.

I brush my teeth once per day and I believe I have flossed about six times in my entire, 23-year life. My teeth are also in perfect condition (my older brother is a dentist and I am pretty sure I can take him at his word on the subject).

Take that, conventional wisdom about oral hygiene!

I brush my teeth and I use mouth wash. Flossing is a pain in the ass and I always end up hurting myself.

I brush my teeth twice a day and I never use mouthwash or floss. I really should, though.
My teeth are relatively healthy, if you ignore one cavity and some brushing related stuff which makes a part of my tooth really sensitive to heat and cold (I can't really explain in English).

I should cut down on the Coke, I guess.

My teeth are perfectly aligned, because I went through the entire braces thing. Before that my teeth looked like as if they were blasted in place with high explosives. It was really bad. Furthermore I've chipped a small fragment of my front tooth, horrible, horrible magnet incident.

That's about it, I think.
