We all change. We're often different people even just when other people are around. I've sometimes worried that there's no core 'me' just various aspects of self that I present to people, but even if that was true (and I don't think it is, I think there's a central me) it wouldn't be too much of a problem. you're your experiences, memories, emotions, all adjusted by how you feel at the time, and altered further by your present circumstances. From all that, something that is cohesively you and stretches back for years still exists. It's quite amazing, when you think about it. Even though you don't have a single brain cell you had 10 years ago, you're still you.

I'm sick, I got school off, and sleeping makes me question my own sanity.

Luckily, I played Final Fantasy 9 today (aka, the only GOOD Final Fantasy.), so everything good!

:)

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I was reminded of it from that thread about what you were like when you were younger, and as I was writing I remembered how drastically different I've become, even over the last couple of years. Who I was at 16 is someone I wouldn't even want to know!

Wasn't there a thread like this on Saturday?
OT: Wondering how many times I can attempt the same mission in Ghost Recon without throwing my 360 controller through the TV screen.

Yeah, it's weird - but you wouldn't be who you are now if you hadn't been who you were at 16. Oddly, that thread showed me that I've not really changed all that much... I can recognise myself now in my actions then - for better or worse. It was a bit triggering though. Ack. Shit. Yeah, it was. >>

Silly
Why can't I stop thinking about Ancient Egyptian Lazer Beams?

Serious
Y'know? From all I've seen in Anthropology so far, gamers might just qualify as a subcultre. It's crazy, but they consider prostitutes a subculture. I'm considering making a thread on this, actually, but it seems a little silly.

Honestly? I'm worried that even If I complete school and get my dream job at a software company I'll still be working with assholes for the rest of my life.

My thought of the day: "I'm very f*****g competent!"

I passed my badminton level 1 coaching course and to get a pass they have to mark you as competent. I've been using that word everywhere now, because I'm so f*****g competent.
Whoa, who's this competent fellow over here?

That was weird.

My brother, although not on this site I think, has the name Martin and always uses user names like Madman Martin, madmartin and other's like yours, I had to check if you were him or not.

I feel incompetent.
