how do you think they are gonna turn out? call me insane but i think that blizzard turning away from the massive micromanagement is a bad thing, the Blizzard RTS was all about how to strategically spend your resources wisely. not much i can say about diablo other then there are very few ways to screw that up.

Edit: damn, mix up on the starcraft numbering, warcraft 1,2,3 diablo 1,2,3 starcraft 1,2. blah:p

Diablo 3: I hope it turns out better than I think it does. Much like Fallout 3 did.
Starcraft 3: Hell I don't even know if this will ever exist.

Were did you see this turn away from micromanagement? I saw the gameplay trailers and those small tournaments of people playing and it seems classic Starcraft, but with a whole new bag of tricks.

I thought the main complaint on Sc2 by the haters was that SC2 is just SC1 with better graphics.

Diablo 3 looks really promising.

Starcraft 2 looks pretty cool, but I've only really had a passing interest in Starcraft after I found out I'm not much good at it.

I am likely to be disappointed in SC2, due to the fact it is split into three games, but I believe Diablo 3 will be interesting.

In the original StarCraft I only really cared for the Campaign and custom maps (the occasional skirmish), more Campaign and custom maps will make me love (dare I say <3?) SC2:WoL/HotS/LotV.

Same here. I guess I need to wait for the SC2 Battle Chest. Diablo 3 looks interesting, though it was the story and cinematics that held my interest more than the actual gameplay.

looking forward to both but from the little i have seen of both games, diablo 3 looks like diablo 2 with better graphics and no potions. starcraft 2 looks like starcraft 1 with redesigned units and better graphics. The gameplay for both doesn't look new but that doesn't mean it can't be exciting and fun. the fact that starcraft 2 will be split into 3 parts sort of disappoints me, but its better than waiting 3x as long for them to finish the whole thing and releasing it as one (if it were even possible). My main problem is this: it's been so long ... how much longer will we have to wait? I wonder if I will live long enough to even play the games -_-;;

Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3: More of the same, with a few minor refinements that improve the game and the obligatory 3D graphics. Starcraft 2 is likely to have a pretty good story, Diablo 3 a mediocre to decent one, and they'll be all solid like everything of Blizzard's after the SNES.

Btw Starcraft 3 carries the stink of the Phantom console in terms of release date. Pushed and pushed into two-thousand-and-never.

SC3 is rumored to be on the PS5 and the Xbox 1080.

You know what? I'm sorry. That was terrible.

OT... SC2 took a dive for me when they split it up, and I've never played Diablo... so I dunno.

Starcraft 2 - I have been waiting for this game since 1998. This is my most anticipated game ever and I am pretty sure it will be perfect in every aspect in my eyes.

Diablo 3 - I'll buy it, I'll play it, but I probably won't beat it because I'll get stuck doing something retarded (like making billions of perfect gems with the horadric cube before beating the second act...).

The bait has been set, now we wait. Pyronox... where are you?

Diablo 3? I never really got into Diablo 2, after dominating Diablo 1 online with my inventory full of ears the game never held for me. But I'll still probably buy it and play half way through it.

As for Starcraft, I was a kid when the original came out and never really appreciated the game until recently. So yeah probably, though I hate online matches that aren't custom.

Free will is an illusion, so i'll be buying both^^ but diablo will only have 5 classes, not much of a suprise, but still stung :(
Sc is a great series, so why are we complaining that the next release so humogous they had to split it into three parts?

Well I know I'll buy both.
Diablo 3: Looks really cool, I wish they would put in more classes though
Starcraft 2: Looks like Starcraft with a next gen facelift and maybe some steriods and maybe tummy tuck

personal thought: i need to build a new computer to play both of them
Diablo 3: looks kinda like Champions of Norrath, but with darker shading.
Starcraft 2: i think the gameplay mechanics of all the units will be ass backwards from the first one and will take a lot of time to get used to.

Well to be fair, 5 classes comes with like 30 archetypes apiece to play them in completely different ways.
