So, Resistance 3 showed up in the mail today but before I pop it in and start playing I was wondering if I should play through with the Sharp Shooter instead of the regular controller. I already have the eye toy and two dust-covered motion controllers (an ill-conceived impulse buy at GameStop when I had a mountain of stored trade in value and no new games I wanted to pick up), but I'd need to pick up the Sharp Shooter and a navigation/sub controller. I'm hesitant to shell out another... let me check... sheesh! $55 dollars for those unless the game really merits it.
I already read through the reviews I could find (here and elsewhere) but most of them don't talk about using the Sharp Shooter or just give it a really quick mention and then go back to talking about the game in terms of using a regular controller. I'm hoping some of you have spent some time with Resistance 3 and the Sharp Shooter. I'd be interested to know how you feel it rates in general, as well as compared to other gun based FPS games. Does it make for a better or worse experience than playing Resistance 3 with the regular controller? Would you shell out (or did you) an extra $55 for the experience?
