This man has just said the most intelligent sentence ever about anything. Seriously, why does everyone think this quote unquote "new" Wii is something to get excited about? It's the same crappy PS2 knock-off only now it's actually dressed up to look like a PS2 rather than a Mac.

It has a fresh new coat of paint, I don't see the big deal. If a wii overhaul deserves a topic it's the mods that people did to their Wiis to make them totally unique.

On a related note, is there any way to change the background color of my Wii's main page? I'm not a fan of white, overall. It's the one thing I still prefer most about my Gamecube.

TBH I really don't care particularly much. I haven't used my Wii in months, and I'm not about to shell out $200 for a color swapped system with the EXACT. SAME. FUNCTIONS.

I think it looks pretty cool, though that it hasn't been available this whole time is a bit annoying. I just hope they offer the new cases online somewhere--as plates that you can replace, at your own risk.

Did we misunderstand each other? I was commenting on how awesome those modded Wii's were, and how the black Wii was just the normal Wii wearing a different shirt. I would've liked the black Wii to have a few new features, but since it's the same price then no harm done on Nintendo's part.

No no I was agreeing, just reinforcing my post I guess haha. The black Wii is cool and all, but it's kind of silly news to me. Mostly because I know people who will sell their wii to get a black one while there's no difference. Now if they bought a new wii to MOD then that'd be cool
