Shadowrun is a genius game. i was playing it the other day for at least 3 hours. I am particular to the summon spell, which is great if the enemy also has it as well. two minions beating the crap out of each other, genius.

PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

PS2: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4

PS1: Final Fantasy VIII

SNES: Terranigma
or
Super Metroid: Redesign

Sega Genesis: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Kunckles

MSX: Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (was there even an argument on that one? Also, fuck the franchise rule)

NES: Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
or
Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship of Doom

Sega Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure 2

N64: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
or
Super Mario 64

Nintendo Gamecube:Metroid: Prime

Nintendo Wii:Metroid: Prime (Yes, I'm allowed to do that, especially since it's
Metroid: Prime

PC: Diablo II (No argument there, either)

Xbox: Despite the fact that this system produced nothing that really deserves to be called classic, Halo.

Xbox 360: Mass Effect (This is purely based on it's exclusivity, and what I hear about it.)

PC Engine/Turbografx 16: Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.

Gameboy/Gameboy Color: Castlevania: The Adventure II: Belmont's Revenge. (No, honestly)

Gameboy Advance: Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
or
Metroid: Zero Mission

Nintendo DS: New Super Mario Bros.
or
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (SP?)

PSP: While it is tempting to say the Star Ocean ports, I'm going with Crisis Core

That's all I can think of.

1) Timesplitters: Future Perfect (all platforms) - greatest game ever made ever.
2) Timesplitters 2 (all platforms) - also greatest game ever made ever
3) Timesplitters (PS2) - started the franchise of the greatest games ever made ever
4) The Witcher (PC) - stat-based RPG, choices with actual consequences, interesting story
5) DOOM (the original, on PC) - after 16 years its still fun as hell

Yes I like Timesplitters to a point thats probably unhealthy, big whoop wanna fight about it?

I love plenty of other games a lot, but I can't mention them because just 5 games is just too restricting.
Sure. I'm enraged. You have to have variety in your lists.

Wait, let me just get my super awesome mega-varied list:

5) Call of Duty: Black Ops (X360)
4) Heavy Rain (PS3)
3) Mass Effect 2 (X360)
2) Call of Duty 4 (PC)
1) Modern Warfare 2 [footnote]Not trolling. 100% serious. And I played it on PC.[/footnote](PC)

Oh, shit, that kind of sounds fanboyish, too...
Oh I'll show your variety!

5)Kirby's Epic Yarn (Wii)
4)The Witcher (PC)
3)Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2)
2)Civilization Alpha Centauri(PC)
1)Timesplitters Future Perfect (PS2)

I can't make a favorite games list without Timesplitters.

But yeah, how's that for variety!

You think you've defeated me?

5) Knights of the Old Republic (PC)
4) Left 4 Dead (PC)
3) Heavy Rain (PS3)
2) Mass Effect 2 (X360)
1) Modern Warfare 2 (PC)

There's two RPGs (sort of), two shooters (well, three) and one game that isn't even a game.

Give up.
