Halo 3 was one of the diffinitve FPS games on consoles as it introduced new features that weren't that popular like the regenerating shield(health) mechanic, you mentioned grenade spamming in cod 4, that only ever happens to me occasionally even less so now as the noobs that do that have moved to world at war, I think that cod 4 still offers one of the best mmultiplayer experiences online and took the gameplay aspect into another direction for the call of duty franchise opting to go for modern combat rather than world war 2.

Halo 3 added jack shit so I don't know what you're talking about there. It sacrificed the great story and single player of Halo and Halo 2 and focused way to much on multiplayer leading to a deterioration of the series. Regen health, in my opinion, is one of the worst things to happen in FPS games.

You know what I can't be bothered to argue about it so have your cake and eat it! You obviously had a bad experience with the game and can't except that it is GOOD and that other people would include it in their top games.

Halo 3 added forge mode which allowed people to create their own maps in a new interactive style thats a start at what halo 3 did. What the hell is wrong with multiplayer as well? A game without multiplayer quickly dies off without either a massive single player or added content like fallout 3 or mass effect. Take bioshock for instance a great game but finished possibly 3 maybe 4 times, compared to say left 4 dead a great game that people continuosly play online, also halo hasn't deteriorated due to halo 3 has it, with halo wars the spin off game along with halo 3 ODST out this month and halo reach on it's way.
