1. George Carlin
Can't remember any others, so consider the rest of this list to be George Carlin repeated over and over again; along with the people who perform on "Live at the Apollo", they're rather funny.

Dara O' Briain, I wouldn't have seen enough of any others to call them my favourite. He's the only one who makes me consistently laugh out loud too.

Forgot Ross Noble for a moment, damn, he was on QI last week and it was gold!
He's heading to Ireland this November, I'm gonna see if I can make him say Toblorone Rolo Combo.

There's an awful number of repeat names on the list, understandably, who'd deny Bill hicks, George Carlin etc their place in the hall of fame.

It's nice however to see a mix of UK and US comedians on the list, just goes to show the spread of material, however, I'd love to see people I've never heard of, maybe from Europe, Australia, Asia, anywhere but the UK and US which seems to dominate so heavily :D

Sorry to OP btw, don't mean to hijack, more just want to keep it flowing...

There's a german guy slowly making a name for himself on radio and in the clubs -

Pretty much this, although not in that order. Also replace Eddie Izzard with Daniel Tosh.

Eddie Izzard.
Bill Bailey.
Michael McIntyre.
Russell Howard.
Rob Brydon.

I just threw these in the order I thought of them, so I'm not sure who comes where when they compare to each other.
There were a few others but I forgot their names. Might as well just say "Anyone who's been on Mock the Week" though.

There are tons of other comedians who've made me laugh. Just can't remember anyone of them at the moment, though.

With one exception, they're all Danish, so you wouldn't know them :)

But just to give you the top 5 (in no specific order):
Al Murray (British)
Geo (his comedian name is that short)
Jakob Tingleff
Anders "Anden" Matthesen (viewed by many as the best Danish stand-up comedian ever)
Rune Klan (magician and hyperactive stand-up comedian in one. This guy is brilliant. Every country should have a stand-up comedian like him)
