1. Wind Waker (The only Zelda game I've ever liked. Great visuals and world, the sailing did not bother me one bit.)

2. Knights of the Old Republic II (No joke, after alot of deliberation I decided I liked the second one more. Okay yeah, it was released unfinished and the ending was a huge kick in the balls, but it was just much better written than the first (which is saying alot, since I love the first one too) and actually explored some different concepts that Star Wars almost never talks about. I played it with the Restoration Mod, so yeah.)

3. Fallout: New Vegas (I was really pleasantly surprised by this game, after the pile of meh that Fallout 3 was for me (personally). I just felt myself being much more drawn in by the game, it was just a better RPG for me)

4. Call of Duty 4 (The only Call of Duty game that I thought was really good. Shame that every game that came afterwards was either terrible (MW2) or meh (WaW)

5. Super Mario World (Nostalgia mostly for me, but the game is still a blast to play)

5. Unreal Tournament III- GOOD offline multiplayer with bots. That's all I need.
bet I could destroy you in it.
I am a monster with a link gun.
Flakcannon is my favorite. PS. Do you got the retail version of UT3? Because its code can be activated on Steam.

5. All the Pokemon games from Red/Blue/Yellow to Emerald - Everything after that just got...awkward. But I grew up on these games, my first game that I owned was Pokemon Crystal.
4. Boktai 1 & 2 - Great little addictive games, not very well known but amazing, a must play for anyone who can. Some gimmicks are good :)
3. Resident Evil 4 - Great shooter, one of the reasons I LOVE shooters to this day.
2. Crisis Core FF7 - Beautiful cinematic masterpiece, amazing story.
1. Zelda: Ocarina of Time - On top of it being amazingly awesome, it was also one of the first games I played.

1. The God of War triology
I. Love. Kratos. The games are extremly well done and the combat is super! The story may be lacking and there are flaws, but every game has them.

2. The Prince of Persia triology
Only recently played through them all with the PS3 collection. They were all really amazing and among the best games I've ever played.

3. Ratchet & Clank series
Ack, a third "series". I just can't chose one of the games, so I'm sorry for piling them togeather like this. Ratchet & Clank was among my first PS2 games, so I was amazed at the graphics and not having to read text bubbles anymore. Ever game is pretty much the same thing, but like GoW and PoP; why fix what's not broken?

4. Assassins Creed II
After having played the first game this one felt like such a huge improvement. I love this game!

5. Final Fantasy X.
In spite of Tidus and Yuna, this was my first PS2 game. Same reasons here as for Ratchet & Clank, and I really, really loved the combat.

#5 - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) I never thought I would buy this game. It was completely off my radar. I saw it at a Record Exchange for 49.99 and quickly looked through some reviews on my Smartphone. The game deserved GOTY honors, it's not prettiest game -but it doesn't need to be. It's the story that incredible. It's the characters and how much you care for them that makes the game. It's "So Far Away" playing as you mount your horse for the first time in Mexico. It's realizing that it was supposed to end the way that it did, and being damn proud that RockStar made it so. It's not higher on the list because Multiplayer was broken, and like Just Cause 2 the map seemed to be too big. Sure taking the train or a stagecoach and save time, but damnit I love just getting on my horse and riding.

#4 - Guitar Hero (PS2) When you think about games that changed how we play video games this game has to mentioned. When I first saw this at Best Buy I laughed and said I would never EVER buy this game. It's a plastic guitar and it's stupid. I ended up with some extra coin after Christmas Shopping (the year it was originally released) and it was on sale for 50 bucks for the Guitar and Game. 30 minutes into playing the game I had a completely different view of the game. I had always loved music, I actually loved the Karaoke Revolution games that Activision had released prior to this, but playing the guitar even if it had just 5 buttons and a clicker bar for the strings put me that much closer to the music. 5 Starring Crossroads on Expert in a packed Dorm Room, and Guitar Battling over Sharp-Dressed man are instant memories. Remembering the plinking and plunking noises on Easy makes me cringe. I just recently bought Rock Band 3 with the Pro Guitar and I'm instantly reminded of that first day with Guitar Hero.

#3 - Mega Man 2 (NES) Another first if you will, this was the first game I successfully completed. For me, I only need to hear about 5 seconds of the stage music to know what Boss you are going to face and the Boss Battles were something that taught me to value patience over anger (Crash Man...I still don't like you) The gameplay was challenging and the weapon system was enough to keep a 9yr busy. I haven't bought MM9 or MM10 on the PSN but that day is probably coming soon.

#2 - Torchlight (PC) This one would totally be the game that looks like I made a mistake when making this list. But I am TOTALLY in love with this game. Running it on max specs on my 47in TV with surround sounds brings a tear to my eye. The gameplay is outstanding and the characters while not really given any backstory (there is a brief sequence at the beginning) does not hurt the story telling. Yes, at it's heart it's a Diablo clone and yes after level 40 the gameplay starts to get horribly repetitive but this game has put me almost in the mindframe of an EQ or WoW player where you have days where all you want to do is wake up, get a big bowl of cereal and go dungeon crawling for better loot.

#1 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3) I have never seen anything as perfect as this game. From the gameplay, to the graphics, to the storytelling, to the multiplayer, to the musical scores this game has it all. I rarely play through games more than once, which leads me to never finishing them at all (GTA:IV, InFamous, Red Dead Redemption have all been victims) but this game has me on the third playthrough on Crushing difficulty. For me to pick one thing about this game would be doing all the other things I love a great dis-service. I have already Preordered Uncharted 3 and will taking 1 or 2 days off after it's release.

Okay, I won't copy/paste my last Top 5 because I've re-evaluated the list, though to be honest I don't think there will be many changes:

1: Final Fantasy X - I'm not sure if I'll ever find a game to top this, but it is easily the game I have spent the most time playing and enjoying and I still want to play it now. Love the setting, the story, the combat, everything. Just an amazing game.

2: Fallout 3 - This game almost caught up to FFX in the time played stats and was just a blast. I love how big the world was and the sheer number of things in it. Exploring it was fantastic.

3: Sonic 3 & Knuckles - This game will never get old. The crisp 2D graphics will never lose their charm and it has the timeless gameplay of oldschool 2D platformers to make it great. Another game I will play again and again.

4: Batman: Arkham Asylum - I don't think I've ever been as excited by a game as I have by this one - being Batman and kicking ass is pretty much the definition of nerdgasm. It only loses points for not being so replayable, but give it enough time and most games will feel like new. I can't wait to play again in preparation for Arkham City which is my most anticipated game of 2011.

5: Grand Theft Auto 3 - Need I explain? The grand daddy of the action-adventure sandbox - This game offered so much when it was first released and all the GTA games (and many others besides) since haven't deviated too much from the formula. Here is a city - have fun. What more can you ask for? It has a great plot and loads of wacky fun.

Honourable mentions include:
Metal Gear solid series
Other Final Fantasy games
God of War series
Super Smash Bros
Assassin's Creed

And too many others.

At the moment I'm playing Uncharted 2 and Oblivion (I know, very late to the party), and both of those could well make a future list - enjoying both very much.

5. Bioshock

I shouldn't have to explain myself much on this one. It's a fantastic game. Exploring a hostile territory, searching for clues to unravel the mystery of what actually happened there, one of the best plot twists ever written, Bioshock has them all. This game was also pretty damn scary. Spider Splicers still freak me the hell out. Also the art level. Truly one of gaming's best stand alone levels. Bioshock was a masterpiece, no question.

4. Valkyria Chronicles

This franchise broke my heart. When I heard the sequel would be a PSP game, therefore leaving me incapable of playing it, I was devastated. When the third game was announced, confirming it would remain a PSP franchise, I was crushed ever further. I love this game. I've never been the best at strategy games but was I hooked on this game's gameplay. I never got A's on missions. I never ran Alicia to the end of the map, barely alive, and declared victory. I would slowly and systematically eliminate everything on the battlefield until my absolute victory was secured. This game was incredibly well done and I'm still bitter about missing out on the sequels.

3. Assassin's Creed

I'm counting the whole franchise as a single game because it's one big continuous saga. This is a franchise I've grown to love. I wasn't convinced after the first one but after the introduction of Ezio this game has pleased me immensely. I like the story, I like characters, and I love the gameplay. Running around the rooftops is an absolute joy and sneaking into the enemy compound, killing the target, and fleeing without fighting a single other enemy is a great thrill. It's a fantastic series and I eagerly look forward to the next installment.

2. Demon's Souls

Demon's Souls found a spot in my heart in a way not many other games really could. The thrill of exploring hostile territory has always been a major draw to gaming for me and nothing pulls that off quite like Demon's Souls. The game is dark and beautiful. It's incredibly violent and eager to kill you while still being somewhat serene and somber. You need not look farther than the fight with Maiden Astrea for an example of what I'm talking about.

1. Ocarina of Time

I have a hard time with Demon's Souls and OOT in terms of ranking them with respect to each other. They're different in many ways but ultimately I love them both for very similar reasons. It's fitting that I played Demon's Souls and OOT when I did as they essentially filled the same role in my gaming history with respect to my different ages when I played them. I give OOT the edge if only for the sake of nostalgia.

5. Crash team racing- yea it's a ripoff of Mario kart, but it sure to hell better. One of the very first games I played and one I still play with kids.

4. Pikmin(series)- An absolutely original game with great gameplay and setting. The second one improved on everything and gave several nods to it. It's a masterpiece.

3. Counterstrike source: zombie escape- I have never played a mod this well done and I probably never will see one in the future. It has the perfect tension between fps and zombie games. It is at my favorites because of two mapmakers named rafuron and kaemon.

2. Final Fantasy VI- A masterpiece in all aspects. Every single detail is just perfect. There is enough contrast and different playstyles that make this game great.

1. Battlefield 1942- A game I still play with friends and with other people. There is so much stuff to do that I'm still not bored after playing it for 4 years. Hands down the best game I have ever played.

5 - Drakkhen
Sure, the game is a year older than me (so it's 22 now), but I grew up with it, and hell, I started using it to run an Anima Beyond Fantasy game once. Didn't really get far due to a reboot so I could get all the reading I need to do done... But yeah. Drakkhen, a story I'll never forget, a game I wish I could play again without downloading a crappy SNES rom

4 - Descent 2
Ah, Descent. Good line of games, tis a shame I wasn't very good at them. But still, I will say they were really, really fun. Fly around, shoot robots, flip on your side and fly "upwards" to strafe a door vertically... But Descent 2 stands out not because of gameplay, but because it's the one I remember the best. I own Descent 3, but used to own Descent 2, and played that alot as a kid.

3 - Mechwarrior 4
Our video game of stomping around in a 3-story tall robot and blasting the crap out of people. Gundam may be more famous, Armored Core more fast paced, but Mechwarrior was my intro to giant robots, and I still find myself firing this game up just to blow the crap out of some inner sphere Stravag's ^^ (Btw, if I had a choice, I'd be a Ghost Bear, not a Davion, TYVM)

2 - Resistance: Fall of man
My first game for the PS3, and surprisingly good for a launch title. And I must say, having a health bar made the game a little scarier at points than just the "fps regen" that Resistance 2 had. It was also varied quite a bit from Halo (personally don't like the halo games), which is points in my book.

And let's face it, alternate history meets alien invasion in the 40's/50's. Fun weapons all around (I'll take a Reaper Carbine, Auger, and Splitter pls)

1 - Guild Wars
I put Guild Wars at number 1 for, well, everything. I've had it since the 1st (me birthday, woo?), and in these short 11 days of having it, i've logged 70 or so hours playing it. (If your checking my steam account, there are a few hours that aren't logged there) I love the world of Tyria, Cathan, and Elona, the story has completely pulled me in, to the point where I do forgive the occasional hiccup due to getting quests early or, thanks to the wiki, missing some background info by just dashing off to a quest :p

Gameplay wise, it's very close to MMO's we normally play. Close, not exact. I've never played an MMO where you literally can't screw up your character. Skills not working? Swap them out, adjust your attribute points, tada ^^. And during the dull moments of gameplay, such as backtracking along a quest because you missed stuff, the graphics is basicly visual porn at points (like the Dragons Lair mission, soooooo pretty), so simply change from killy-mode to sight-seeing mode. And to think, this thing is five years old.

Oh yeah, last note in it's favor: Low spec requirements, and for an "MMO", they built it so you could solo the ENTIRE GAME. That's a little nuts if you ask me. Oh, and no subscription fee's ^^

I'm not trying to offend, but why did you choose Perfect Dark above Goldeneye? It was a spiritual sequel. I would imagine it's because you don't like the relation to James Bond and you prefer an original universe?
It WAS a vastly superior game. New weapon modes, new maps, etc. More interesting main character & story.

The 360 remake (Not the prequel) is even better. It ditches the awful N64 control-scheme and... Oh, I should probably play it.

I have no real personal top five list because I don't believe in the idea of a "Best game ever made".

Tough one. Lets see...

5. Uncharted 2: Among Theives

This game has already gotten so much praise, I can't add anything?

4. Star wars: Knights of the Old Republic

This is the game that made me fall in love with Bioware. The story, characters, even the combat(I know some people don't like it, But i simply adore it.) Not to mention the greatest twist in any peace of entertainment, yes even better then when luke found out he was the son of Darth Vader. If you don't own this game, its $10 on steam. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE.

3. Mass effect 2

I <3 this game. That is all. Though I do consider it a bit like Bioshock, in the sence that I found the ending quite disapointing. Not the ending itself ( I actually quit liked how everything turned out, and the decision you made.) But more-so with the final boss. Gigantic Terminator. Really? On top of that the boss made no sense.

2. Metal Gear Solid 4

The epic ending to Gamings greatest saga. I am not afraid to say that I cried a bit at the end of this game. (Manly tears made of pure testosterone of course.)

1. Shadow of the Colossus

Its art. The range of emotions this game with make you feel, while being so simplistic is simply breathtaking. Plus you get to kill things the size of an apartment building. Whats to hate?

Honorable mentions: Bioshock, God of war, Dragon age origins, Baldur's gate, Resident evil 4, Portal.
