No particular order here.

1) Little Big Planet

Pure imagination in video game form. Also one of the few games I own that I can play in front of my kid nephew and not have my sister-in-law give me an evil stare.

2) Doom

Granddaddy (kinda) of all FPS games, ho! Also, the first game I ever played. The community surrounding this game nearly twenty years after its release continues to astound me.

3) Final Fantasy Tactics

Always kinda had a thing for class-based tactical RPGs, and this one is probably the best. Plus, the wizards have pointy hats.

4) Whatever Elder Scrolls game happens to be out.

A few years ago, this space would have been filled by Oblivion; earlier still, Morrowind. Now, of course, it's Skyrim. Unstable and glitchy as they may be, few games can match an Elder Scrolls game for atmosphere.

5) Medal of Honor: Allied Assault

Remember that barrage of WW2 based FPS games about a decade back? I never got tired of them. This one's campaign is more Doom than Battlefield, what with its one-man-army antics, but I suppose that's probably why I like it so much. Plus, the D-Day level.

6) Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Don't think I know anyone who doesn't like this game. My formative years consisted of a whole lot of spin-attacks and dreams about Princess Zelda.

7) Super Mario World

I'm a sucker for pretty much any Mario game, but none of them have stayed with me quite like this one has. Some folks say Mario 3 is the definitive game in the series, and I have to kindly disagree.

8) Dark Cloud 2

Dungeon crawler + world builder + time travel x (cel shaded graphics) / consistently cheesy line delivery = greatest game evah!

9) Super Smash Bros.

Who doesn't want to see a fight between Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog? Verdict is still out on if Animal Crossing Villager vs. Wii Fit Trainer will bring as much hype...

10) Earthbound

This is one of the funniest games ever made. Comedy is hard, but no game makes me laugh as much as much as this one.

Honorable mentions go to the likes of Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, probably a few I can't recall...

1. KH 1/2. Amazing story, amazing boss fights, amazing gameplay. These games are the games that all other games have to compete with in my mind. Highly recommend to almost anyone, old or young.

2. Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim. Many fans believe Morrowind to be the best of the bunch. While I agree, after a handful of the plethora of availible Oblivion/Skyrim mods are used the difference between the games becomes insignificant at best. The immersion and open world that these games offer are unparalleled but the necesity of mods and the unpolished nature of the games make them fall beneath the polished to a shine KH games.

3. FF6. A masterpiece of the highest magnitude. One of, if not the, best villains in video game history is accompanied by some of the best music, storyline, and gameplay that sprite based RPGs have ever seen. All in all it culminates in the best FF of all time.

4. Bastion. A true work of art. Great gameplay and a great storyline is combined with the absolute best presentation and musical score I have ever seen and heard in any video game to make the game that made me sit in silence, mouth agape, at its conclusion.

5. Red Dead Redemption. This game was everything I ever wanted that I didn't even know I wanted. While that sounds like a nonsensical statement, I generally do not enjoy entertainment of any kind set in the Wild West. However, this game had some of the most powerful moments I have ever felt in all my years of gaming and had some of the strongest symbolism of any game I have ever played. Finally, this is the only game to make me cry like a little girl.

6. Link to the past. My personal favorite Zelda as I prefer its gameplay and story to those in any game after it (although I haven't played Skyward Sword). I enjoy its retro gameplay and charm to most other games for some reason and for that reason it is here.

7. FO 1, 2, 3, NV. While many will argue that these games might as well be in different series except for the 1950s feel in a post apocalyptic setting, I retort that they are all of surprisingly similar quality when viewed from a nolstagia-free perspective. While FO1 and 2 have unique strengths in terms of depth and writing that FO3 cannot dream of, FO3 was far more immersive and viscerally satisfying then the first two. FONV had the potential to be the #1 game on this list but it has obvious signs of being rushed and feels as though it should have been more, if that makes any sense. All in all, some of the best games I've ever played.

8. COD 4. COD gets a lot of hate on the internet for releasing the same FPS year after year and being the top selling game at the same time. Regardless, I put more time on this game than any other game besides WoW. It was a pioneer and did things that so many other big budget titles have been copying for years after and are still trying to best. The single player was surprisingly strong and the multiplayer was probably my favorite FPS multiplayer other than maybe CS.

9. Assassin's Creed 2. I loved the idea of the first game but it lacked a lot of execution. I still enjoyed it and therefore purchased this game when it was released. It completely blew me away. Some of the most fluid gameplay I've played combined with a classic revenge story along with the other things that make AC unique makes for an amazing game.

10. ME 1. Although ME2 was supposedly better in nearly every single way on paper, I didn't enjoy it or understand the hype that those games were getting. However, I tried ME1 afterwards on a whim and I fell in love with the game. It was almost everything that I could have imagined a Bioware game could be. If it had some of the strengths that KOTOR 1 and 2 had (Stronger and more unique companions / enemies) then I could safely put this at #3. For now I'll put it here.

Really hard for me to give any order. This is more of a "random list" of the games I've liked best, in order of realease date. Hard to say which is best.

-Red alert 2:
This game showed me a game could have a decent story and not just be a crude but amusing simulation.
-Civilization 4: Always one more turn. I dont think there is a single game I have spent more time on, thanks to the tremendous amount of awesome mods.
-Animal Crossing: Wild World: This game is like my little cottage in the videogame world. A place to rest, to relax, to be zen.
-Dragon Age: Origins: A tremendous game. I picked it up randomly, without checking any detail beforehand. Boy was I satisfied. Showed me that actions had true consequences, and made me a western RPG fan since. I,ve played most of the bioware RPG back-catalogue because of this game.
-Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Like DA:O, another randomly chosen game. And what A choice. A sprawling game, with stealth and choice. Got me completly addicted to stealth games.

Honorable Mentions:
-Pokemon: While there is no individual game in the series that has clocked much more than 100 hours, the whole series sucked more than 1000 hours over the last decade.
-Planescape: Torment: A good game, that has aged surprisingly well. If I had played it as a kid, it would have blown my mind. But I didnt, so it's merely an honorable mention.
-Assasins creed: The first game was a gen of novel gameplay. The next few got a bit gimmicky, but the series will always have a place in my heart.

Kind of hard for me to make a top ten list. There's so many games to choose from.

2. Final Fantasy IX

Definitely a surprise hit for me. I've played this gem back in 2010 after playing VII and I practically fell in love with it. Has probably one of my favorite endings in a game.
FF IX will always be my favorite ending of any game. Of cause you know the secret about the ending right?

Vivi did not die. He sent his kids to the party because he was too busy driving sports cars, dating supermodles and just traveling the world being awesome. He did not die!
