No particular order here.
1) Little Big Planet
Pure imagination in video game form. Also one of the few games I own that I can play in front of my kid nephew and not have my sister-in-law give me an evil stare.
2) Doom
Granddaddy (kinda) of all FPS games, ho! Also, the first game I ever played. The community surrounding this game nearly twenty years after its release continues to astound me.
3) Final Fantasy Tactics
Always kinda had a thing for class-based tactical RPGs, and this one is probably the best. Plus, the wizards have pointy hats.
4) Whatever Elder Scrolls game happens to be out.
A few years ago, this space would have been filled by Oblivion; earlier still, Morrowind. Now, of course, it's Skyrim. Unstable and glitchy as they may be, few games can match an Elder Scrolls game for atmosphere.
5) Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Remember that barrage of WW2 based FPS games about a decade back? I never got tired of them. This one's campaign is more Doom than Battlefield, what with its one-man-army antics, but I suppose that's probably why I like it so much. Plus, the D-Day level.
6) Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Don't think I know anyone who doesn't like this game. My formative years consisted of a whole lot of spin-attacks and dreams about Princess Zelda.
7) Super Mario World
I'm a sucker for pretty much any Mario game, but none of them have stayed with me quite like this one has. Some folks say Mario 3 is the definitive game in the series, and I have to kindly disagree.
8) Dark Cloud 2
Dungeon crawler + world builder + time travel x (cel shaded graphics) / consistently cheesy line delivery = greatest game evah!
9) Super Smash Bros.
Who doesn't want to see a fight between Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog? Verdict is still out on if Animal Crossing Villager vs. Wii Fit Trainer will bring as much hype...
10) Earthbound
This is one of the funniest games ever made. Comedy is hard, but no game makes me laugh as much as much as this one.
Honorable mentions go to the likes of Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, probably a few I can't recall...
