I went into a game store and bought a PS3 for the sole purpose of getting Metal gear solid 4 the next day
If that was an impulse purchase, get me a job at the company you work for, because I want that kind of money.

If you had to save up from about the time you heard about MGS4 coming out, that's another story.

Looking at my played time on my main avatar in WoW. It was freaking big, around 15 days or something. I've been off WoW for about 8 months, but I'm looking back into playing it again, whilst restricting all the time I give it. Still fun.
Amateur. I had almost a month of real time clocked.

... I made myself sad.
Psh, 86 days here. I'm finally off the wocrack though.

I'll be getting the Hylian Crest on my back as well, for my grandfather mostly...but maybe the fact that i know it's called the Hylian Crest could be counted

Racked up 250 hours of gametime in Oblivion. Realised i'd lost my only chance to get Merchantile Training. Restarted game and deleted old save. I now have 89h on the new one and i havent even beaten the main quest or any of the guilds. X3;;

The nerdiest thing I have ever done though, was when I tried to explain the plot of Bioshock to my mom in detail...
I explain the games I'm playing to my mom all the time. Sometimes she even watches as I play them while she's watching TV and asks me questions about what's going on. I remember one time she sat and watched me playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for like 2-3 hours because she got intrigued by the story and wanted to read everything and know what was happening. She also likes to ask how the ending was in a game, to know if it was shit or worth it. It's not that bad at all.

I cried at the end of persona 3.Not just because it was a good ending but I was glad at being done with it.Unfortunately my pal was with me when that happened.

For me its a toss up though one event is certainly sadder than the other.
A - The time i spent, in the middle of class or on the bus, playing pokemon against somone with the cord stretching across the walkway in high school. So fevered and dedicated was my need to be the pokemon master of my highschool that i failed the 9th grade accomplishing it.

B - Amidst a sexual tension discussion in general chat on Everquest, I submited that bixies(an in game NPC "Bee Women") Were hot, suggesting that while they're not say Angelina Jolie Hot, they are Agent 99 from get smart, Hot.

On a side note i think the best way to solve a Warhammer rule whoring argument is to steal the other douches figures when he goes for a mountain dew.

I've got 250 on mine, all major skills maxed, main quest, Knights, SI, and all guild quests beaten, and according to the UESP wiki I've done about all of the quests beyond that (I say "about all" because I never bothered with the vampire quests.)

Trying to beat Wizardry IV without a walkthrough.

Wait, this is most insane moments, or most nerdy moments? Cause I'd say just playing games is a nerdy moment.

Beating any Wizardry game without a walkthrough is possible, just very, very difficult. A lot of pencil erasers met their end when rubbed against the graph paper notebook I used for the first two Wizardry games.
