The real me is Napolean Bonaparte.

Actually, he's J.R.R. Tolkien.
I jest; the real me is Mark Twain.
Or maybe he's Herman Li.
Or Nick, from Left 4 Dead.
Or a furry.
Or AwesomeFace.

Or MAYBE--and that's a big maybe there-- what you see is what you get.

Yeah, it's that last one.

I'm pretty much the same person here as I am in real life. There are a few differences, though. In real life, I'm shy, and I usually keep to myself, which sometimes leads to my stress levels reaching critical mass. That results in me not having such a good self-esteem. You know how when you make friends, you go up to them and start talking to them? I'm terrible at that. I tend to mumble, trip over my words, so I don't talk to people that often. You'd probably think that means I have no friends. But, it just means most of the friends I've made in real life came up to me and started talking to me, leading to us becoming friends.

Pretty much this. I adapt for different groups of people, since there's no point deliberately shutting one or more out.

The True me is...the everyday me I suppose. My Name is James Random Anderson, nonsense and jam is all i'm about. In person and on the internet...That's about it really :)

I couldn't really say. I sure act differently online, probably because of the faceless anonymity that comes with it. But then I also act different when people are around me in real life too. If I am neither on the internet or around people, I think that is the real me, which kind of feels like a guy's version of a less extreme and pessimistic Daria.

So, interpret that as you see fit.

Online on a certain forum (and really on forums in general online), I'm really more open then it real life. Online I talk about things I like that I'd never speak of to people I meet or know. Online I'm actually trying to hold back my EVIL ANGER OF HATE, while I don't so much in real life.

Same thoughts and things as in real life. I think it would be confusing to be someone else intentionally on the net. If I'd have multiple personalities without knowing when I open the web it would be cool but on purpose would just be.... ...confusing?!

In both The Escapist and real life, I'm an opinionated, left-ist, Atheist furry that loves to reference anything that happens to catchy my attention. And I also care more about others than myself.

My outward real self has changed a bit to match my internet self since I joined here. I'd say it's better like this though.

Online I'm more quick witted and make every other person I chat to laugh. But in real life I just sound like a tard when I open my mouth. I don't know why but as more and more people are around me my brain gets exponentially slower. I guess it is just a big self esteem issue I have and I just close up.
I'm like that too. I'm incredibly self-conscious in real life and lack confidence at times.

Well my views are the same IRL as they are on the net, I maybe take a little more time to think about how to express them though, as the written word is so easily misinterpreted. Sometimes genuine intent is misread as sarcasm and certainly the reverse is true. So I adjust things slightly in the hopes that my point is still made the way I wish to be made as people cannot hear my tone of voice.

I'm True To Myself on the web.
This, I liked very much.

OT: I am completely the same in real life and on the webs. I don't like playing games of switching personalities, adding or taking off qualities. Me, myself and I has merged and now we are One in every way and every place.

My true self is an annoying and unlikeable shit. Safe to say I don't change myself for the internet. Although I act different on the internet because I have time to think about what I say, so really, this is more true to me then I act in real life.

I tone down my sense of humour a lot when online. My style of humour is kind of abrasive and really requires context, so I keep it off message boards because what in my head sounds like a light hearted jibe just looks downright insulting and vitriolic when written down. Other than that, the same.

My true self is probably a lot more shy. I find it easier to talk freely when I don't actually talk... if you know what I mean.

EDIT: Oh yes, and then there's the lack of confidence thingy too.

I may sound a little bit more intelligent on here than I actually am. I'm always nice to strangers online and in real life, if I think they deserve it.

The way I would say the sentence above in real life is;
"A may sound a lil murr intelligent on 'ere than I act'lly am. M'always nice t' strangers onlahne n' in real larff."

You can't sound intelligent when you talk like that.
