Your ultimate fantasy job

I was having a discussion with a couple friends of mine last night while playing Risk (don't ask why we were doing that while a PS3 sat unused, we don't even know) and we ended up discussing what our ultimate dream/fantasy job would be.

You know, like... if you were offered the chance at and job in the world (and you would actually be able to do it) what would you choose. This thread has probably been done (so it'll probably die on its arse), but I thought it was interesting enough to open up to general forum discussion.

So what is your ultimate dream job?

Personally, I have 2:

1) Professional wrestler: I'd just love to do this for a living, to the point where I regularly just imagine doing it. But it requires skills and abilities that I just don't have. I mean, I'm already 20 years old and have had no training, I'm weak as hell and massively out of shape, particularly in the cardio department. Plus I'm a clumsy ***** and in the pro wrestling world, that shit can get someone seriously injured or worse. Plus I'm British and pro wrestling as I know it is a VERY American industry (I know there's wrestling promotions all over the world but the big league is WWE, which is American).

2) Writer: I'm actually convinced I might just be able to do this one (currently writing two stories), but it's a massive uphill struggle and a constant battle with my own imagination to reign it in, and with my attention span to keep myself focused.

Let's see. For my first one, I'll say "dancer." I loved dancing, and was actually quite good at it. Unfortunately, with my knee being rather spectacularly injured (as in, if I overwork it, my knee will no longer support any weight on it and completely collapse) this is no longer a feasible option, if it ever was. And secondly...

Exactly this. I'm writing a hellton of stories at the moment, just because I have the sort of imagination that can't be confined to one plot at a time. But I've been told by quite a few people that I'm a great writer (and not all of them are trying to get on my good side- I've won quite a few writing contests in my time).

Let's see, what else. I'd like to be an actress, too. I loved acting. I just haven't had the time to be in any plays lately. Maybe once I'm in the real world I can do some community theater. =)

Well, I'm working at starting my own writing career, so that's automatically one of my choices. However, I would love to be a wrold travelling archaeologist who knew just about everything about religious symbology and philiosphy. Kind of like an awesome combination of Robert Langdon and Indiana Jones. With a beard.

Astronaut.

I think if I really put my mind to it I probably could become a scientist out in space, but from what I understand you pretty much have to go to Harvard to ever be good enough to be one.

Space has always been one thing that's fascinated me. And if I could experience it for even as short as a day I'd be happy.

My ultimate fantasy job would be being paid to not work.

EDIT: but i've always wanted to be a milkman. Or, well that should be Milkwoman, but you get the idea.

That ones easy, it's called benefit fraud...
It would be nice to have a 6 bedroom council house and then point and laugh at all the people who are homeless on the street who need it more than me. I think we have a plan.

F1 driver. Get paid to travel the world and drive on roads.

Or maybe a musician, I haven't really decided.

A unicorn breeder.

Oh, wait, not /that/ kind of fantasy, huh? Alright then like most of the people here I'd love to be a writer. What I lack most is self confidence. I know what I like, and I like what I write, but I'm terrified that other people won't like what I write and therefore I tinker with ideas that never go anywhere.

I suppose considering my current job, cake decorator, I'd like to someday open my own bakery.

when I hear dream I imagine something too awesome to exist.
Bonus points if you can name what that picture is a reference to.

If I remember rightly, that's from the Simpsons. Bart is assigned to do community service at the Retirement Home and he sees aforementioned awesome building right next to it (or across the street, I forget which).

Something that puts little strain on my life, pays at least decently and gives me lots of free time. Doesn't have to be important at all.

My #1 is definately being a professional producer / DJ. I already make music for 6 years now and it's become a passion of mine beyond anything else. People who insult my music insult me too. Travelling that's part of that is also something that I love. So it's got everything I enjoy in life right in there. This might just as well be sound enigneer at some place. As long as I get to perform my magic with audio, I'm enjoying myself.

#2 is propbably game developer. I am a person that envisions a lot and can share these visions with other people and make them enthousiastic about it, discuss about it and really make a point. I am however lacking in the skills to physically produce a game. I am a good visual artis, though (I draw, design in 3d, etc), so that would be the way to go if I ever want to be there. What I lack now is just diploma's. I should make a portfolio, I guess. :) *feels motivated*(

An artist as in both creating stuff of art and also a comic book artist. I can't draw but I got tons of ideas so I would hire someone to draw on my behalf.
