imagine a game where i get to ride around on the back of a t-rex firing uzis and im wearing sunglasses and there's a killer rock guitar solo in the background and the t-rex fires lasers out of its eyes
That would be interesting... to say the least...RobThePrezodent said:imagine a game where i get to ride around on the back of a t-rex firing uzis and im wearing sunglasses and there's a killer rock guitar solo in the background and the t-rex fires lasers out of its eyes
I had thought about that in the past... Civil war is the least used game type, I'm sure you can at least find some cool things to make a game out of it.John Broomell said:I'm a big history guy and I love American Revolutionary time to the Civil War time (Time of muskets and bayonets!) I would really love to see a game set in those time periods, it would be hard to do because some may get frustrated at long reloading times but really if they could make a game like that I would buy it instantly. Of course it would have a multiplayer tooGiant Line battles!
Yeah only game I've ever played with muskets was a mod for HL2 was really fun but still only a modgameo53 said:I had thought about that in the past... I(myself) have never really got into a MMO tbh, What long term appeal would the game you want have?Kagim said:I would like an MMO that doesn't let me down.
(Angry Rant here.... Don't worry I am on topic after...)
Galaxies was really close for awhile but instead of improving what they had they decided just wipe out the unique fun game for another clone of what's popular.
FFXI felt riddled with bad ideas despite having what could have been awesome at its core.
WoW. Is. Boring. I played that game for 3 years and could never find something to make it worth it. There were brief moments that kept me going followed by long periods of .......
Guild Wars. The most broken single player game ever. Sure you COULD group with people, though rarely ever does someone want to because you don't have to fight over gear with the hirelings. While i can see why people would like it the crafting system is so bad(for me) that i walked away from it.
Warhammer online!: WoW! but with a bigger emphasis on PvP! And segregated worlds broken into tiers! So your not really in a world your in a series of levels so why bother exploring anything! Who needs exploring its just holds MMO's back!
I don't mean any of this offensively to people who like those games. They just pissed me off, and for some reason i ended up freaking out here...
(On Topic past here. Once again i mean no offense. Those are the reasons why I left. If you disagree I understand, but your not going to change my mind.)
What i want is a massive mmo. LOTS to explore, dungeons that are expansive. A skill system familiar to Galaxies pre-nge as well as its godly crafting system. The ability to build towns and have pvp between player towns. The ability to customize abilities. Scaling content so if say me and my girlfriend want to explore "The Cave of Scary Dark Mean" the enemies scale to having two people as well as the rewards. So if i want to explore content with just a friend or two i don't have to drag along 7 strangers.
.... I'm never going to get that game...
MW2 just a huge mistake, selling on name and nothing else.capin Rob said:MW2, without all the mistakes infinity ward crammed into it
Just wait until Star Wars:Old Republic, still another year or so until release but the game seems massive and it is made by Bioware and Lucas Arts so of course it will have its flaws because Bioware is new to a MMO or any multiplayer game really. They have already released about 6-7 planets in the game and there is still a lot more to comeKagim said:I would like an MMO that doesn't let me down.

Wait is postal 3 on source 2?LightOfDarkness said:MW2 just a huge mistake, selling on name and nothing else.capin Rob said:MW2, without all the mistakes infinity ward crammed into it
Prototype with more balanced powers (EXTENDO TENTACLE, IM LOOKING AT YOU) mixed with the side quest variety of InFamous, a story as great as the Professor Layton series, intuitive control scheme, near-ijnfinite replay value, do-whatever-the-hell-you-want style from Postal 2, the insane weapons from Postal 2, on the next engine VALVe makes (Source 2!) and I will be happy for the rest of my life.
NiceDarkfreak said:A sort of oblivion/spore type game where theres alot of custimizabilty with a more mature feel to the game. Also make it an MMO with totaly freeroaming environments. Oh ya and you can manipulate the environment to no end. So a MMO, Tycoon, RPG, Spore thing.

Ok, this is gonna sound bad. But. The first game I ever reviewed was Nauruto(?) Ukazukawukazuka(?) Chronical (2?) that = what you just said...Shaegor said:Some sort of RPG with hack'n'slash gameplay. And the character customization should contain the ridiculous hairdos of animes.
Tons of content to explore, roaming storylines, crafting system requiring you to seek out rare materials. Large expansive dungeons that can be done in parts with any amount of people.gameo53 said:I(myself) have never really got into a MMO tbh, What long term appeal would the game you want have?Kagim said:I would like an MMO that doesn't let me down.
