I live in Australia and have never been to America. I don't really like american shows but I've always wanted to travel there. Everything always seems to be in America.
I know whenever we see on the news or on the internet American people doing something stupid someone will always say 'only in America'
I think the people I'm around tend to think of americans as stupid or eccentric but I blame the media for that.

Been in New York a few years ago.It was awsome. But when i ventured into McDonalds. And saw that every,EVERY rumour about it was true....ugh..

Also being in Ireland....we have warped views on America.I've met some American tourists and they are easily the most GULLIBLE BASTARDS I'VE EVER MET.They believed me when i said i had a leprechaun at home minding the dogs xD

It's okay. Could be better with less idiots and such, could be worse with less freedom and more idiots.
Dude, you made Master Archivist.
I'll bring the cake.

But anyway, My feelings for America are equivalent to the feelings I get whenever I see a celebrity gossip magazine on store shelves, wonder "who would read that" and simultaneously realizing that they have to have gotten money from somewhere.

The USA: Canada's pants (and hat).

Seriously though, while this country does have it's issues, it is an objective fact that we make the bestest music.
As a resident of the UK and former DJ I would take great issue with that one for a start. You invented the best music, but you ain't the best at it.
I'm sorry I don't make the objective facts I just herald them.

I love my country, but there are just too many people that need to be eliminated because of their stupidity. They are living with a 1950's worldview without really understanding the outside world. Most are so easily led to believe outrageous things without any evidence to back it up, and stubbornly support their position even when overwhelming evidence is given to correct them. I guess I just hate stupid people.

So take out the stupid ones, and we'll be set.

I'm Australian and I really want to visit America one day, especially Washington DC.

As a country I feel kinda sorry for you guys, your seen as the world's police because your the only people with the military power to do it. Yet, people spend half their lives saying your wrong for doing it and the other half telling you to keep doing it.

All the while the lack of money in your domestic sphere is beginning to show, with the insurance and medical issues your having.

I appreciate the foreign policy difficulties you guys have and I think you're doing a good job at it. So yeah, you're doing fine by me. I really want to see the White House in person ( though it's impossible to get inside, just to look at it from Pennsylvania Avenue would be enough.)
Actually, I believe you can get inside. There are public tours of the White House (not the WHOLE White House, people do live there).

I love this country. I don't always care for the people who are supposedly running it, but we're a republic so I really only have one person to blame for that.
Yes, you can get inside on tours. It's not that great, because you don't see much of it and no one is there. And America isn't bad, it's just that the idiots have been getting quite a bit more media coverage than the normal people.

Americans: The only idiots who would willingly try to rebuild and reinhabit New Orleans

Pretty much sums it up.
fix'd
So your saying you wouldn't try to repair a major port and cultural center?
I'm saying its a stupid idea to try to repair a major port and cultural center that will inevitably be destroyed and cause major problems for the government and people who live there again...
Yeah I agree and besides who would want to live in a coastal city that is below sea level, it just confuses me.

Our next door neighbor "America" really needs to start using the tredmill in the living room, and not just as a coat-hanger.

But in all seriousness, America's a great country, and the new presidents really starting to clean up the mess that the last president left.

I am not blaming you but some people voted for him- America has had it's reputation truly damaged by Bush, I'm glad you didn't vote for him

Honestly most people i talk to think that America isn't as popular as it likes to think it is. And that Britain really shouldn't try to ally with it.

There are a few problems mainly stemming from your lack of acceptance and ability to look at situations naively (all guns blazing style). Again there are MANY smart and well educated Americans.

But the best example is when i visited America a few years back the amount of people that come up and say ... OHHH GOSH YOUR FROM EUROPE?!?! .... Half right there my friend but can you guess where exactly?

Again Stereotypes. It's the same in any country and i would be naive myself to think otherwise... i like the American people they are friendly, always approachable and have keen community spirit, something that England sadley misses nowadays. :(

I believe that America is the most arrogant country in the world. most probabily think they're gangsters and I hate those type of people. Personally, I say Florida is the only good part of america.

My view of the US is that I really need to get over there at least once just to see what it's actually like, instead of hearing stuff from the "Amerrekans ar dumb, lololol" and the "America is the best country is the world!"....whom both happen to be stupid.
