A freaking punt gun.
^google it.
DUUUUDE! I'm pretty sure it would be more practical using a fucking cannon than one of those things.
Rarely do I learn something as cool as this on a random thread. Thank you.

IDK why, but I'm glad that gun exists.

Seeing as I'm a diehard Halo fan, I'll pick the three best weapons for dealing with a Zombie Apocolypse as simulated by the Flood (otherwise known as Zombies+)

MD6 Silenced Automagnum with scope,
Shotgun to the Face

and an Assault Rifle (made it all the way through The Library on Halo 1 without the use of a Shotgun.)

All things considered, a bow.
Arrows are often reusable, and you can make your own arrows.
Also, it's silent. (Crossbow is an alternative)

Sure, it might not be the fastest and most intuitive thing, but it gets the job done.
Also, it's the zombie apocalypse. With the experience you will get, you'll be legolas in no time.
gotta suggest the xross bow, easy to use, seriously instructions can be read on the side of them, bolts are silent, and they can be fired much farther and with more force than any human can manage with a bow
How are breakage rates on bolts, and how easy would it be to make new ones? I agree with you though, the xbow is superior. Maybe the bow is faster though? And possibly easier to find/make ammo.
Xbox = More precision, less fatigue, more power.

Bow = Not easy to use at all, needs strenght which you WILL need to run, your muscles won't provide as much strenght as a spring
No one disagrees there. The only question I have, as mentioned, is about the bolts. The zombie apocalypse won't last for a hectic day or two.

I'd still prefer to take the bow though. Probably because I got some experience with it. Oh, and it's cooler!

well, as a tool, this thing
As a long range weapon, probably a reliable handgun with common (or easy to make) ammo... and forgive me, I'm not good with gun names. Also, a laser sight added to it would be useful too. I'd also pick a rifle, preferably with a sniping scope, if no handgun was available.

For a melee weapon, I'd have to go with just a solid metal pole, an axe (like a fireman's axe) or one of my usable swords (many of my collection are display only)

In all honesty though, if there was a zompocalypse happen, I think we all would just use whatever is easiest to get hold of. Hell, I might end up using one of my playstation 2 controllers as bolas or the like :p

Sniper Rifle, Desert Eagle, and either a katana or a crowbar. Deagles are badass and I've always been sort of the sniper type (be it paintball, airsoft, or in games), and while I'm rather handy with a katana, crowbars are a multipurpose tool in the zombie apocalypse. Of course, sledgehammers work just as well, but since I'm not Thor, a crowbar will do.

I would take a silenced SMG with laser sights, a silenced sniper rifle with night vision, and a crowbar for melee combat.

-Scoped/supressed M-14 rifle
-Sig Sauer hand gun with spare mags.

Sniper rile, Magnum, shotgun and a lot of ammo. Then I would get in my car and take the 3 hour drive to Nunavut. Chill out in the north where the zombies freeze to death and wait for the apocalypse to be over.

Is an Adelaide-Class Guided missile Frigate considered a weapon? I mean what more do you want? Firepower enough to level most cities, and it floats on water ... making you and your mateys immune to predation by the zombies.

Sure you have to make landfall occasionally ... but if you're really worried, just level everything within a 2 kilometer radius, loot a military dockyard, dry dock if necessary for repairs (most dangerous ... but not so bad assuming you have some well armed peeps and nobody does anything stupid).

A portal gun, a gun that magically funnels zombies into a portal, and an entertainment gun that can entertain me while zombies fall into my portals, possibly with more portals.

Why yes, I have been playing Portal recently, how did you tell.

a desert eagle is a poor choice ammo would be short and its heavy clunky and packs too much power to be used properly a m1911 packs enough punch to take out a zombie (i hope)

personally id use a mp5/scar a m1911/m9 and a melee weapon like a katana or a tomahawk although i wouldn't say no to a sniper (m110 or a m40)

Honestly I'd probably carry a 9mm beretta, a large fire axe and an assault rifle like an FN FAL.
