Have you seen this my friend, you just might want alittle Lil Jon in your life: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoCLFUQEStItwaddle said:I rarely work out these days, but when it do, it's usually to this song
For the record, "anaerobic" IS the higher intensity workout in which your muscles have to work faster than your body can get oxygen to them. "Aerobic" is lower intensity where the muscles stay happily oxygenated. I was corrected on this about 10 days ago.lacktheknack said:(This is because I prefer anaerobic exercise, because I'm a pleb.) And people say techno is crap.
Be that as it may, you still move a lot slower when doing anaerobic exercise, and moving a fast as a Dragonforce song will probably get you hospitalized.Clankenbeard said:For the record, "anaerobic" IS the higher intensity workout in which your muscles have to work faster than your body can get oxygen to them. No. This is what I'm saying. It is a common mistake (that I made for a long time) to think that aerobic exercise is more fast paced and hardcore than anaerobic. It is the opposite--the words seem stupidly reversed.lacktheknack said:Be that as it may, you still move a lot slower when doing anaerobic exercise, and moving a fast as a Dragonforce song will probably get you hospitalized.Clankenbeard said:For the record, "anaerobic" IS the higher intensity workout in which your muscles have to work faster than your body can get oxygen to them. Ah. The disconnect here is that I I'm mixing up "cardiovascular" with "aerobic" and "muscular" with "anaerobic" (since they often end up overlapping perfectly). My bad.Clankenbeard said:No. This is what I'm saying. It is a common mistake (that I made for a long time) to think that aerobic exercise is more fast paced and hardcore than anaerobic. From Runners Connect: http://runnersconnect.net/running-tips/aerobic-vs-anaerobic-training/ :
What is aerobic running: Aerobic running or respiration occurs when your body has sufficient oxygen-like when you run easy miles with you friends. You breathe in, the body efficiently uses all the oxygen it needs to power the muscles, and you exhale. Basically, when you are "running aerobically", your muscles have enough oxygen to produce all the energy they need to perform.
What is anaerobic running: Anaerobic respiration happens when there is NOT sufficient oxygen present. In this instance, the muscles do not have enough oxygen to create the energy you are demanding from them (like in an all-out sprint at the finish).
