Running track? I always go with vagueless rhythmic electro music for my runs. When you go for 10k+ rhythm is more relevant and I don't need "motivation" anymore, just some nice tunes are appreciated.

That's not to say there are not some powerful songs that make me feel like getting out there...

I've been listening to a lot of Pendulum recently. Tends to keep me motivated and give me something else to think about.

But yeah, otherwise, just a lot of electro/dubstep.

Anything fast and heavy really, so lots and lots of metal and hardcore. Stuff like Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Lamb of God, Trash Talk, Every Time I Die, Gallows, Slipknot... Anything with a bit of aggression really.
Totally huge.

For now, my favorite music for running is anything from "Running Wild". Both their pirate and non-pirate music really get me moving. It's got a good pace to it.

I particularly like material which gets the heart pumping, like Jet Black Stare's "Ready to Roll".

(This is because I prefer anaerobic exercise, because I'm a pleb.) And people say techno is crap.
For the record, "anaerobic" IS the higher intensity workout in which your muscles have to work faster than your body can get oxygen to them. "Aerobic" is lower intensity where the muscles stay happily oxygenated. I was corrected on this about 10 days ago.

Techno isn't crap. I enjoy working at my desk with a little trance or techno playing.

OT: I seem to have a better time working out when the music is of a bit more cornball nature. I'll listen to The Presidents of the United States of America, Southern Culture on the Skids, or a little Nerdcore Rap like MC Frontalot. I'm not recommending any of these to you. They tend to be a bit sillier than most people can stomach. But it lightens the mood for me to do something I rarely look forward to. I'm old--45. Judge my response accordingly.

Be that as it may, you still move a lot slower when doing anaerobic exercise, and moving a fast as a Dragonforce song will probably get you hospitalized.

It usually consists of Persona music or the hype songs of the Jojo soundtrack:

It's hard, no, impossible, to not feel pumped listening to this MANime's OST.

No. This is what I'm saying. It is a common mistake (that I made for a long time) to think that aerobic exercise is more fast paced and hardcore than anaerobic. It is the opposite--the words seem stupidly reversed.

From Runners Connect: http://runnersconnect.net/running-tips/aerobic-vs-anaerobic-training/ :

What is aerobic running: Aerobic running or respiration occurs when your body has sufficient oxygen-like when you run easy miles with you friends. You breathe in, the body efficiently uses all the oxygen it needs to power the muscles, and you exhale. Basically, when you are "running aerobically", your muscles have enough oxygen to produce all the energy they need to perform.

What is anaerobic running: Anaerobic respiration happens when there is NOT sufficient oxygen present. In this instance, the muscles do not have enough oxygen to create the energy you are demanding from them (like in an all-out sprint at the finish).

Ah. The disconnect here is that I I'm mixing up "cardiovascular" with "aerobic" and "muscular" with "anaerobic" (since they often end up overlapping perfectly). My bad.

Well, I do have a few songs in particular I shuffle through during my workouts:

Other than that, even though it's not typically a workout song, the song's build up to it's own interlude always gives me a workout:

Usually I do so without music, I'm in a good mood when I work out and I don't really listen to music if I'm in a good mood.

Usually something on the high BPM side
