Brawl easily, biggest let down ever! There is no over-hyped game with as shit game play as this, NONE! Well Mario Kart Wii comes close.

I have 2 entries on my part. the first: the original 4 Dot Hack games. Pure misery. What good is there for you being a sub par hero, slogging through 500 dungeons that all pretty much look alike? Still it was a real treat compared to Emphermal Fantasia. Horrible control scheme, piss poor story, and rewinding time! You get a song you have to play for the prince, after studiously learning how to flawlessly play the song, i head into town. Only to get some pointless quests in an almost unnavigable city layout. Best part is the city map is split into pieces you have to find, and you only have a certain amount of time to clear all the quests you can. But, i got over this.
So i make it to the prince's wedding, go to play the song i learned, and now it's about 10x harder than what i was given to learn. After damn near aborting the song, the prince goes all cliche evil guy, and freezes the whole place in ice, and rewinds time. This is where the game seriously failed for my wife and i. Now, you have the same time as before to complete what you already did, except now you get about twice as many quests to finish. I've played some shitty games in my life, and can go own about how horrible this game was but i digress. This one stands as the worst yet.

well i was all set to name it metal gear solid 2 untill metal gear solid three came out so that then took first place then metal gear solid 4 came out in 2 thousand and 8 and i quite literally had dioreah for a few days after playing mgs4(it could be coincidence but i swear i had dioreah after that game) so i guess to name the worst game ever it would have to go to Metal Gear Solid IV Guns of the Patriots (which qualifys it as worst of the decade) for its astounding ability to bring about dioreah and hourof aghony on the toilet. runner up would be Nintey Nine Nights(no dioreah). so congradulations to Hideo Kajima and his incredibly solid snake.

Of games I've actually played, Battlefield 1943. In the letdown and overall quality categories, this game was absolute shit. I can't believe a proud franchise like Battlefield 1942 could be ruined so badly.

My worst gaming moment of the decade was the ending to Fallout 3. The rest of the game was 10/10, the ending was so contrived and depressing I couldn't stand to play the game until I got Broken Steel.

Transformers the movie, the video game.

The controls and difficulty were the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen.

Grand theft auto 4

As a shooter, it's clumsy and weak
As a racing game, it fails on all levels. Driving cars feels very clumsy and painful
The story doesn't make up for the fact that it fails to function as a game.

I'm curious as to the WHY you choose the games. what defines a bad game to you? "Suck" or "Just crap" or anything like that shouldn't qualify into the equation. what didn't you like about the game? Be a picky dick about it! Granted there will be others for hating you for saying some things, but this is the internet and you just might not give a shit. but at the least you might give them something to consider or even think about for a minute or two.

My basis was on broken gameplay, horrible controls, god awful story, and the feeling like repeatedly punching your genitals would be more enjoyable.

LOL. Thank you. But I've read you're post. You've done no wrong. I'm talking to the others just just give a title and a few words. Frankly i enjoyed the 1st .hack for about. . . 45 min before i went... Ugh. But being it in my nature, i had to finish the damn thing. I couldn't leave it alone. i paid for it. I've got to see it through dammit. But i did enjoy the G.U. Series more enjoyable. and at least with that series the lucky few were able to get the terminal disk with describe the back bone of the whole series all together for ya... Juuuuust in case you missed one episode of SIGN of now got cluster confused on what happened with the rest of the story.

I have only once bought a bad game myself, and it was on impulse. I now read reviews and research the hell out of any game before I buy it, and I haven't made any bad decisions yet. My sister, however, has an uncanny ability to pick the worst game out of any bunch she's faced with. Think cheap sports games, kiddy shovelware titles, mirror's edge, and so on. The worst game I've played was one that she bought and I tried once, and only once. Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon for the original xbox. It was total garbage that would have been embarrassing on the n64.

Fallout 3. It ruined the series, and I can never forgive it.

I'd go with Big Rigs Racing. It has to be seen to be believed.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, hands down. Nothing comes close to a game that was released pre alpha, where trucks are able to drive up vertical cliffs, clip through bridges, and increase reverse speed to infinity.

Is this really a question? Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Easily.

I downloaded that game (the only worthwhile way of obtaining it, I might add), and was amazed and amused. Rarely is a description for anything so dishonest; rarely is a product so incomplete. It is rather fitting that your opponent never actually crosses the finish line (or the starting line either, if you haven't got the patch). He has seen the futility of the game, and knows that the only way to win is not to play.

I encourage you all to steal a copy of Big Rigs. Driving through a bridge and straight up a mountain, backwards, in speeds of excess of 400 mph, is a highly amusing experience. Can Superman 64 compare with that?
