Check out the mods for it. Your jaw will drop. (unless youre on a console.)
Console :( Laptop is incapable of running anything higher than pong so I'll just check out the videos.
Thats a pity dude. Well I suggest you dont go looking at mods then, because it may cause unreasonable rage toward the console version of UT3

Even though I've already admitted defeat, I will point out to you that 7 February is actually before 13 March.

Yeah. I'm going to say Halo. Seriously, that's what I was gonna say from the start. Anyway, it's just my opinion. But I'm not judging WORST game by just crappy gameplay. I can't actually think of a game that disappointed me more. Spore probably came close, but I couldn't get involved in Halo's storyline, and the gameplay in the campaign mode was just adequate, nothing ground-shaking. And this game was massively hyped by everybody. I will admit that the multi-player, again while not being everything it's hyped up to be, is very fun. But I don't like buying a bad game for a good aspect, and I have Unreal Tournament, or any number of free PVP games that I downloaded, if I want multi-player.
Just..ugh, read the rest of my posts in this thread. Big rigs came out in the last decade, Spore had more hype and GOW is worse then Halo by a mile

Some scuba diving game my brother got from our Grandparents.
It's for Wii and all you do is stroke and take pictures of fish. Like you have a fetish or something.

I have never even heard of Big Rigs. I did, and still do, enjoy Spore, it just wasn't anywhere near what was promised in the hype. And I haven't played Gears Of War, although I'm given to understand by a friend, who's opinion of games is much the same as mine, that it is our kind of game. I understand why some people might enjoy HALO, there's just something about it that pushes me away, rather than sucking me in. Maybe the story, maybe the enemies, maybe the fact that the guns are just weird, and there isn't much variety. So, out of the games I actually bought/played in this decade, Halo was the most disappointing for me.

I can't be bothered to argue with you, I have shown all those points wrong in previous posts and I just can't be asked with another person who thinks Halo are worst game ever...If you honestly think that then you're just...wrong, at least it is functional

I should let this go here, it seems like the debate has stopped now anyway, but I thought it was pretty clear that this is my opinion. How can you prove my points wrong, if they're simply the reasons that I, personally, didn't enjoy Halo? How can you tell me that what I think is "wrong", when that implies an objective, not subjective, statement?

And Shoto, bear in mind that I've been an Escapist for far longer than you, spend a load of time around here, I've never been probated or suspended in the time I've been here, know several members quite well, and, therefore, know what these guys want. What they don't want is trolls like you trying to call out people like me by being smug assholes. There's a place for people like you, and it's sure as heck not here.
Are you genuinely trying to argue that because you spend more time here that makes you right? You're not here to please an audience or entertain other people, you're not writing an novel. So you've never been on probation, so what? that's nothing to do with what we're talking about.

Also, how is it that you deduce that just because I'm disagreeing with you on the matter of Half-life that I am a Halo fanboy and a troll? As a matter of fact I would say that the game were you design and run your own train system is the worst game of the decade, simply because it doesn't appeal to me. So don't for even a second say that I'm some Halo fanboy, I've played it, it's certainly one of the best FPS's made this decade, but certainly not THE best.

Your arguments against Halo consist of the same drivel that any moron can come out with, that it's too 'mainstream' and that little kids play it, well that's because it's a good game my friend, and I'm sure just as many annoying shits (I'm starting to believe you're one of them too) play Half-life, there's just no multiplayer function for you to experience it. So please re-think your opinion on Halo because it's simply illogical to say it's worse than some of the other dross that has come out last decade.

I believe I can, using this example; lets split video games into two halves, one being functional, the other is non functional
The properties of functional is that it is broken, buggy, has glitches or is just unplayable due to a technical fault (not relating to any gameplay fault)
Now functional can be utter, utter shit but functional. It goes without saying if a game is broken and unplayable, it is a bad game, regardless of opinion (and I mean bugs that work against the player, not infinite gold or anything like that)
Now Halo is functional, none of the maps are broken, there are no glitches (except without lag or considerable knowledge), it is perfectly functional.
Now Superman 64 came out in 1999 (the start of the decade we're debating about). Now Superman 64 was a buggy, broken and horrendous mess of a game and was not functional. This makes it a bad game
If that is too far back for you, let stake a look at something more recent, Gears Of War. Gears was also broken, buggy and a bit of a mess. Locking onto cover didn't work that great, bullets curved in the multi-player, when two people hit each other with chainsaws it was a randomised outcome, the game deleted your saves and there were texture issues. This made the game at some point unplayable, thus a bad game.
Now while a good functional game is down to your opinion, a non functional game will always be worse than a functional one.
Is that a fair proposal?

For my opinion on worst (and if I give it a LOT of thought, can probably come up with other titles instead, but this is after a few minutes of consideration), I consider my expected fun value compared to how much ACTUAL fun the game was.

Thus, a game like Prison Tycoon (which was bad) isn't the worst because I kinda expected it to be pretty poor.

That being said, the worst game for me, not just last year, but last decade, was Prototype. I picked that game up expecting a great freeroaming title that had lots of action and gameplay, but what I got was so full of logic and continuity issues, poor controls, and mediocre graphics that after just a few hours, I couldn't stand playing it any more. I have tried it again a few times, just to see if maybe I just had a bad sit, but every time the game lets me down even more.

Obviously:

You don't have to like Halo, but at least it works, few bugs and glitches, relatively well-balanced, properly polished. Same counts for a lot of other games in this thread. But all that does not even remotely count for Big Rigs.

My personal worst game would be Spore, it wasn't even remotely what it cóuld have been. Instead we ended up with a Virtual Mister Potato Head with extremely dumbed down, repetitive mini-games.

I've got it on the PC, but I still hate it. Ever since UT decided it needed to be a Battlefield clone instead of the original, insane, close-combat Deathmatch frag-fest I hate the series. I just want my UT99 back.

Just like to jump in your little two-on-two, Half Life and Half Life 2 do have multiplayer components, and while I have not played the one in 1, I have played the in 2 and heavens it's a blast.

Final Fantasy XII. All the good stuff; the plot, customization, and a couple of the characters, were all technically there, but it all came across as incredibly dull, for example the game heaps a mountain of exposition on you before you've had a proper look at the world your in, making it incredibly tough to follow. Not helped at all by one of the worst main characters in video game history. Oh, and I hated the battle system, which made the game feel more like a MUMMORPIGER than Final Fantasy. Oh, and the long, LONG treks between each and every town.

Might sound like a Yahtzee fanboy, but Wet has to be the worst game I remember playing in the last 10 years.

of the Decade?? Wow thats hard to think that far back. How about most disappointing games.

--GUN (disappointing, not bad, just meh after a while).
--The Incredible Hulk (just not as good as Ultimate Destruction)
--Turning Points: Fall of Liberty: (cool concept, looked a played like a much older game)
--Bionic Commado (relaunch): (not Rearmed, that was ten better).
--KOF 12: did not live up to any expectations. :(
--Superman 64 (that was this decade right??, not wait 1999 dang)
--Superman Returns (ah ah, Like Hulk games, but so much worse)
--Any of The Dragonball games..SHINY, followed by blackout.
--Tomb Raider, insert title.
--Balder's Gate, Dark Alliance (consules, and GBA): Not the classic awsomeness of the PC version of yesteryear (1998 that is) at least others have picked up the slack.
