This is exactly why I tend to go to see movies towards the end of their cinema life cycle. Me and my partner were actually the only two people at the screening of Watchmen, that was awesome.
Really though I prefer to watch movies in the comfort of my own home. Nice comfy beanbags to sit on, can snuggle up without somebody getting their nose out of joint, and none of the annoying inconsiderate scum people that tend to frequent cinemas.
It's cheaper too.

Went and saw Casino Royale on the premiere with my whole family, including my mothers brother, his family, and my grandmother.

Now, more or less my whole family likes to talk during films. Short comments, like saying "How is that even possible?", "What happened?", "What did I miss?". You know, the stuff that gets arsingly annoying after 15 minutes. I sat in the middle of everyone, and they tried constantly asking me, to which I just went "Ssshhh". 30 minutes into the movie people in front of us started turning around giving me looks, and I could feel the gazes burn in my neck from behind.

Bear in mind this is in Finland, where everyone sits nice and quiet, always.

heh since I'm a uber nerd I can predict movie events seconds before they happen, I was ruining several things in spiderman 3 (never saw it before) and had a guy telling me to shut the F*CK UP, I laughed since he had no idea that I just predicted it , never saw the move though I'm a bit of a marvel nerd

Twilight. When Edward came onscreen for the first time, someone let out an ear-shattering FANGIRL SQUEEEEEAAAAL!!! I couldn't hear anything for about a minute after that.

Strangely, it later turned out that the screamer was a friend of mine.

I suppose it was the latest Harry Potter movie I watched.
The theatre was crowded. I had to sit too close to the screen and to too far to the left to be able to watch comfortably. The lights dimmed and then it started: -crackle..tear..rufflecracklemunchmunchsizzlecrackleslurpmoretearingcracklemunchrufflecracklemunchmunchsizzle
crackleslurpmoretearingcracklemunchrufflecracklemunchmunchfizzlecrackleslurpmoretearingcracklemunchruffle
cracklemunchmunchsizzlecrackleslurpmoretearingcracklemunchadinfinitum-

Everyone in the theatre deemed it necessary to open a bag of potatoeships and a coke during the movie. It usually doesn't bother me too much, except that it went on and on during the entire movie which, to make matters worse, couldn't grab my attention as much as the noise did.
It was probably me having a bad day, but it ruined an already mediocre movie for me.

The Dawn of the Dead remake. Though that had more to do with the buffalo chicken wings I'd had earlier that night going wrong on me than it being a rather dull film.

Seeing Xmen3 opening night and have a running 2 hour commentary from some random dumbass and his girlfriend sitting beside me. Oh that and the fact my friends were dawdling so by the time we got there the place was packed and we all sat in random leftover seats.
I'm impressed. Why would you sit in the cinema for 16 minutes after the film has finished?

The only time I regret going to the movies, is when a new Harry Potter movie is released. The room is filled with nerdism and pricks. It's kind of like Comic Con came to Florida.

I've had it pretty good. The worse was probably when some kid kept asking his mom constant questions during a movie.

It wasn't that bad though. And he stopped soon enough.

When Adulthood first came out (Hear me out now) all the "gangstas" in the place kept talking REALLY loudly while the movie was on. Mostly stuff like "Oh my days, that girl is a ho blud!" and no, I am not kidding. They talked and talked and talked, and at one point where the main white character gets punched, some girl stands up and shouts at the top of her voice "OH MY DAYS BLUD! WHAT A PUNCH! MAN JUST GOT DROPPED, YOU GET ME BLUD!?". It's this kind of language that makes me want to move from Birmingham to somewhere quieter.....
Also, when there wasn't anything interesting happening (e.g. pointless filler dialogue) someone at the end of my row was talking about the fact that someone got stabbed in the movie theater the day before. Last ghetto film I EVER see.

This one actually made me feel good:
A guy was texting on his phone. At least he put it on vibrate, but he forgot (or not) to silence the keys. SO, beep-beep-beepbeep-beep-beepbeepbeep-beep all the time. Then his phone vibrates and he starts talking. Not hushedly, in the tone you might say "Call me back, I'm at a movie". He's practically shouting. I grab his cell phone and hold it out of his reach. He cocks his arm but I hold the phone as if I was about to throw it and make a "no" gesture with my finger. The guy says "fuck you!", so I toss his phone accross the theater and run out. Thank god the movie was rubbish (The Holiday)

They need to police the movies more. This kind of bs happens all the time.

What is the worst experience you've ever had while at the movies?

This question crossed my mind after what happened happened to me not more than two hours ago.

Michel and I were out watching the new Adam Sandler movie Funny People. Throughout the whole movie another couple behind costantly chatting really loud and making wise cracks. Having asked them to stop multiple times and threatening call over the usher, they still continued. The suddenly I start hear the girl's phone go off followed shortly by dialing. I turn around And I see her texting with the keypad noise set on high. Then both me and Michel ask her to turn it off or we would call the usher.

The boy then decides to take the lid off his soda and dump it on my head after we had turned around. Before I knew it Michel had turned around, climbed over the seat, and had grabbed the guy by the shirt. He then threw him over the chair he had been sitting, hopped back over and started pummeling the guy. The fight then dragged on into the stairway where the two took turns exchanging blows. At one point the guy grabbed some old man's cane and smacked Michel across the face a few times with it. After the fourth hit the cane breaks and sent Michel tumbling down the steps. The man chased him down and pinned him against the wall and goves him a few hits to the face. Michel was able to then wrest free from his position and kick him to the floor and took the moment to stomp on his nuts. Once the guy had turned on his side and statrted throwing up, Michel pulled him up by his shirt collar and gave him the finishing blow.

All four of us ended up getting thrown out of the theater for it.

Although I am a devout pacifist and do not believe that violence is always the solution, I do believe that asshole got what he had coming to him.
Shit. Same thing happened at some concert I went to. That wasn't a pretty sight. Mike okay?

Anyway, on topic: Spiderman 3. There was a giant group of people who were talking way too fucking much, and then the kicker came. When the Green Lantern's butler said "I love you as I loved your father", the entire group hooted and hollered. What a bunch of douchebags.
