Indeed, if the zombie virus was created here on Earth, isn't it fair to say it could be more virulent against aliens? what with them not being exposed to material that the virus might have been inspired by?

While this maybe true, but the link in dogs to humans might be because we all share a prehistoric DNA strand, making the link weak, yet a limited transfer. This could be why the "zombies" in I am Legend could only infect dogs by bite, rather then airborne disease.

And while this is true, the viruses of earth being more effected on outer species, if you think back, a "tribe" of Predators resided here on earth if you remember the second one, and in the first one, the Predator resided in a forest which is a breeding ground of bacteria, so it is safe to say that Predators are very resistant to human disease.

Sorry, that definitely doesn't apply.

First, they're not comic book characters. And second, they're not comic book zombies. This is a case of anime VS George Romero and Max Brooks zombies, plus actual Left 4 Dead madness. But since you call it into question, I'll answer to it so some satisfaction can be had in the curiosity. So...characters from Yu Yu Hakusho. (The team of Yusuke Urameshi, Kazuma Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama.)

First of all, anime-to-zombie rules differ because three out of the four in the group are either not human or at least not completely. The only one open to a bite problem is Kuwabara, because he's totally human. Barring that, biting a demon or partial demon in hopes of an infection is sort of like the flu trying to infect a body full of someone who has the ebola virus for blood. It's not happening. So, with that in mind, let's get cracking. (I'll keep these in compact form so as to save space.)

Spoiler: Yusuke Urameshi

Alright, the situation with Yusuke is very simple. He's built for an ass-kicking. That probably means he could knock a zombie into the next timezone or gooify it with a punch. Oh, and anyone worried that a zombie might get too close? Even a powerful Tank would have to bow to a Spirit Gun blast capable of taking out demons. Using both the powers of the Spirit Wave and his Mazoku demon energy reserves, Yusuke could fight off zombies for days if he spread it out wisely. Of course, Yusuke isn't wise, so there will probably end up being explosions that draw in every zombie around...which he will probably destroy himself if not with the help of others.

Spoiler: Kazuma Kuwabara

Although the comic relief of the group, nobody can doubt Kuwabara's abilities, at least. While he's the only human capable of being infected really, he has perhaps the greatest spirit awareness on the planet. It takes something very quick, subtle, and powerful to sneak up on him, more the likely if it's actually not powerful if it's to get by his senses. Zombies lack these traits, with some exception, but most unnatural things would prick his ear, let alone his awareness. The next thing is, well, is arsenal. Aside from kicking people's asses directly, most if not all zombies would easily fall to the Spirit Sword. Failing that, the Dimension Sword...otherwise known as the Jigen-Tou.

Spoiler: Hiei

With Hiei, there's even less a chance of being caught off guard. A Jagan eye - the third eye in his forehead - is like a separate entity, perceptive and psychic. No sort of zombie from any genre would surprise him. Then, there's the fact that his sword skill could lop off all of their heads in the blink of an eye, only faster. He'd remark it as being akin to killing children in their sleep. Oh, hey, and let's not forgot. He's a fire demon, probably capable of incinerating any living or unliving thing near him with ordinary fire...or consuming it all with the Darkness Flame technique. That dragon could probably wipe out a whole major outbreak in one go.

Spoiler: Kurama

Kurama is a planner, meanwhile, a strategist. His skills and senses are both incredibly sharp, and the team's abilities to destroy a maximum amount of the zombie hordes with the minimum required force would be exercised thanks to his callculating nature. As a spirit fox demon capable of using plants as weapons, there are any number of ways he could end the so-called lives of zombies. Every weed is a weapon, at least to cut, pull apart, or ensnare if nothing else. He'd have them in as many pieces as Hiei would, and do so without fault. Since zombies have no strategy, no cunning, and Kurama is patient, it is impossible for any number of such beasts to end him. And even the stronger ones would be cut in half.

I know it's not the point of the Left 4 Dead game, but these four wouldn't be survivors. They'd beat the entire outbreak, as all of them have been through much much worse.
