Cover my lawn in killer plants that shoot peas. And explode.

(plants vs zombies for the win, by the way)

Me and my friend plus our families will create a caravan of vehicles and head north (I live in illinois) to michigan. Along the way we can stop by the national guard armory and see if they are giving out supplies. They are also located right next to a Kraft mac and cheese production plant so its a win win. One of the vehicles will have a sunroof and a machine gun (if available) will be placed on it.

So why Michigan? Most of the towns and cities have relatively low populations and the forests are hard to move through as a normal human so the undead sure as hell wont make it through, forcing them to use the roads that would bottleneck them so nicely. My destination is my grandmas house (not saying what town, dont want any of you potential brain eaters to know), there i will find my grandma and grandpa as well as most of my family on my moms side. There will be tons of guns and ammo due to hunting being a very popular hobby in my moms family. The town in question was a boomtown from the mining days, the mine has since shut down so there are only a few hundred people in town (possibly under 250 people).

In town is a small mall that has been shut down and abandoned, a elementary school that was shut down due to asbestus, about 3 small abandoned apartment buildings
the functional buildings are a high school, a church, and a gas station.
The closest large town is a half hour dive away but a small town is within a half hour run or a ten minute drive.

It is a close to perfect plan, given that i have enough time to prepare (for this one I could be fully stocked and on the road in an hour at least maybe an hour and a half), however i do have many backup plans and backups for my backups. The only drawback is that the route cuts close to Milwaukee and traffic tends to suck around there, cant imagine what a Zombie apocalypse would be like. However thats an easy problem to work around.

Take that Zombies!

Machine gun (and ammo) + bunker (with bed and bathroom) + 10 years of supplies(water, soap, food, toothpaste) = survival.

Take car. Go to mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry!" - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

This was in no way taken from any movie that has ever existed. Ever.
You should totally make a movie out of that, and put Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in it.

Build a Fortress out of all the Zombie threads on the escapist.

They'll have rotten away by the time they rip thru the '08 threads.

In all fairness you are new, but you should know that these kind of threads aren't generally highly regarded on this site.

Anyway, OP: Hide in my basement, and pray, i live close to a hospital, like, REALLY close, so if a Zombie virus ever does break out, i'm screwed.

I's build a wall made of zombie threads. most certainly they could never penetrate it.
What would you do with the threads that are left over?

fire up Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and escape while they're all dancing
Or you could play "Smooth Criminal" and shoot all of them with a tommy gun.

I love that idea!
And get Bill Nighy to play Phil as well! It's a great idea.

Well I'd have to nut up or shut up.
Don't forget to use this line if you ever leave another survivor.

I'm not great at farewells, so uh... that'll do, pig.

This seems like the best solution. There are so many that if I used them to build a wall, it would make that big one in China that every one is so fond of look like rubbish.

Damn you! That's MY joke! Quit stealing my material.

Well failing that, I'd just wait for winter when all the zombies would freeze. Assuming I have to do anything since zombie apocalypses *never* happen in Canada.

Or "Beat It" and get into a knife fight? (I tried. :/)

I'd grap my friends, a heavy car (Humer, Ford F-150, ect. ect.), plenty of guns, knives, hardware tools, and food + water and wait it out in a abandoned factory far from any civilization.

Best Grammar ever.
