EDIT: I choose a different song

As usual, I go with the song that fits any badass activities, Hazama's Theme Gluttony Fang:

that wins in my book.

Though this would be cool too:

listen to them at the same time. It's pretty awesome. : )

Going to your death, hard work and victory are summarised by this song, the very attributes of such a battle.

I guess there's no Youtube vid, but "No Turning Back" By the Stone Coyotes.

Or, for some irony, Extreme's "Warheads."

Given the choice, The Trooper by Iron Maiden. Of course the narrator dies at the end, but it's an epic piece of music nonetheless.

i would have to say something inspirational and, i hate to say this word, heartwarming, like 'concerning hobbits' by howard shore or 'not afraid' by eminem.

Two of Brocas Helm's songs "Time of the Dark" and "Defender of the Crown" seem perfect for assualt music.

Red Alert 3's Hell March 3 is also great for this purpose.

And because the helicopter assualt scene in Apocalypse Now if we were doing a similar assualt I would want this playing.

And for the final one I have to explain myself a little bit. One of the old comments for Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" is by a veteran of the Gulf War who heard it playing from an overflying helicopter during a ground assualt on the Iraqi forces. That image is now burned into my mind and I always thought "Personal Jesus" would make a someone intimidating song to play while you were attacking an enemy force, not so much because of the lyrics but the steady beat that is present through much of the song.

Almost certainly I'd go with:

Barring that, either Warriors of the World United by the same band or Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags by Amon Amarth.
