The cure for depression:

The second cure (Skip to 0:14 for the lulz):

The third and final cure:

Also, the only thing I really "hate" right now is I am still relatively pissed about Aliens: Colonial Marines, but I haven't really mentioned it on the forums here since like it's release day. I know when to let something go.

Good news: I just finished Walking Dead Season 2, I liked it. Right now I am still working on Assassins Creed III and playing more pokemon.

Gears of War Judgment comes out in a couple weeks! That's a good thing.

I also met some decent people in Rock Band tonight, as in they didn't instantly go for the hard songs in an effort to kill the drummer(me).

I just got a puppy last week. He still has that new puppy smell.

Metal Gear Rising is surprisingly good, too. They pulled off the impossible, they actually made Raiden... c-c-c-...cool.

And I also saw Looper last night which was a great movie. That kid gave a pretty damn solid performance, and Emily Blunt is an adorable lady. Also, Bruce Willis shooting toddlers... Damn!

My kickstarters are beginning to mature.

Grim Dawn is preping for it's Alpha release and the others are progressing along nicely.

I think 2013 is going to be a good year for gaming despite it's somewhat inauspicious start.

Umm...Good thing...I'm killing lots of Metal slimes in Dragon Quest...that's a good thing. EXP and all that. Oh, and Gold Golem farming is also progressing nicely. There's that too.

Sorry to hear that the forums have got you down. Here is a nice cheerful video to raise your spirits.

what the...

what the fuck was that?
A very depressing life insurance commercial apparently.

On Topic: I am about half way done with my first rough draft of my fantasy novel. I am hoping to get it published by either late 2015 or mid 2016.

Apparently it was the worlds most brutal life insurance advert xD

EDIT:

Something good. Um. Right. Bad time for me to try and post something both honest and good. Uh. I will be getting wasted tonight whilst listening to awesome metal?

Also, I just discovered this lot:

And found out that one of my friends is into Steampunk, like myself.

Don't let it bother you, it happens. It's like a ritual.

Anyway, I just started playing guitar, and I'm already loving it.
Also I just got Fable II, Street Fighter IV and Dead Space II.
I felt like I was missing out, and I was!
Except for Street Fighter...I really seem to suck jupiter sized balls at that game.

My wife and I went on a date, saw Wreck-it-Ralph at the Cinebarre (second-run theater with a bartender), had a great fucking time. I got home, picked up El Shaddai for $2.99 off of XBL and it's pretty fun. I love games that try new things and at the very worst it at least looks gorgeous. Oh, and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that I'm glad that Vault101 frequents here.

Vault, I'm gonna be honest. A lot of the times, I really don't gel with your opinions (or at least, how you express them). But I agree with you here. I skimmed that thread, and it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

OT: I finally got around to diving into the Dark Souls lore today. Man. It's just so great.

someone makes a thread about reminiscing over the last 3 years he was on the escapist and wishing to share some of that

lets just talk about GOOD things for once [b/]so whats somthing good? a game you like? somthing that happned?[/b]
I'm sory for making that thread and that the "older generation" of the escapees happened to pop by and start talking about the good old times :,(

On Topic:

Good? Got through Batman Arkham City (main story mode) on my WiiU and still have only 50% completed so I get to play superhero a lot more :D
Also I play some FIFA and being 10th in the second highest division with a team that doesn't belong there (at the moment) and winning the team that was second (that should be in the highest league) 2-0 feels good :)

Good thing no.1 I love your new avatar :D

No.2 One of my best friends came back from holiday yesterday, and I'm really looking forward to catching up with her this week.

No.3 X-com is continuing to kick my ass, but I keep having for despite the constant ragequits

No.4 One of my best friends had a baby girl last Thursday :D

Overall I'm doing pretty good at the moment (I will however continue being a sarcatic/cynical bastard, because that's who I am)

EDIT: Loads of spelling mistakes :(

NO, this is just proof of your HORRIBLE TASTE, because as everyone knows my opinion is the correct one and everyone else is WRONG. (kidding. I assume that was blindingly obvious but you can never be too sure, sarcasm doesn't show well in text)

OT: Good things hmm, I well I suppose my college experience is looking better than expected, got a 95% on a test I was fairly sure I was gonna fail, and started hanging out with a cute girl from one of my other classes. I highly doubt she is interested in dating me, but she is plenty of fun to be around as just a friend, and "fun to be around" is leagues above 99% of my other classmates, most of whom barely reach "tolerable for short periods of time" . Also Vault101's new avatar is one of the funniest I have see on this site, poor vault boy.

Talking about good things? On the Internet!? ON A GAMING WEBSITE???

You ask for the impossible, sir. :D

For real, though, this gives me a chance to harp about my Greatest Game Ever, Of All Time: Star Wars: TIE Fighter. At the age of 5, it was my introduction to the wonderful world of video games, and remains the most entertaining game I've ever played.
I could write an essay on what makes it so great, but the best way to capture its awesomeness in one statement:

It mostly consists of escort missions...and they are FUN.

I'll let that sink in for a bit.

I understand how you feel. I have thrown out multiple chapters about a dozen times now because I felt my ideas were bad. Only to later on regret it.
