The Tremor Brothers were hysterical sociopaths and that scene is incredible, particularly what follows the dialog.

What really impressed me was the simplicity of the set up that leads to all these insanely deadly killers converging on one target, yet the plot is deeper then they lead you to believe at first. And even then, they don't try to be TOO convoluted, it balances out wonderfully.
Yep, just freaking amazing. The .50cal scene was awesome too.

But yeah, I like the plot twists, even though I figured it out really early. :[ Still awesome though.

Terminator 2 is one of the first "grown up" films I remember watching (I was 8) and so I have fond memories of it.

I would have to say Fight Club or Donnie Darko are close contestants, although I like lots of films.
Ah i'm in the same boat as you mate, i saw Terminator 2 when i was quite young. I forgot a lot of these films, Fight Club is one i thought was great.

Brotherhood (Taegukgi)

South Korean film based during the Korean civil war 1950-53, it's got amazing acting, spectacular effects, and a gripping story of two brothers caught on opposite sides of a war that devastated a country for the next half a century, and still does to this day. The ending still chokes me up. A true classic.

Best. War. Film. Ever. (but I'm open to any other opinions, except Saints & Soldiers, that sucked :p )

The Usual Suspects. Back when Bryan Singer was doing more than making so-so comic book adaptations, he dreamed up this little film in the mid 90s. Starring Kevin Spacey before he was huge, Gabriel Byrne when he was still doing movies, Stephen Baldwin before he went nuts, and Benicio del Toro in his strangest role ever, the film is one of the few to truly utilize its all star cast to the best of their collective potential. The movie is a trippy, non-linear recount of some truly strange criminal events. If you haven't seen it, it's an instant classic that still keeps folks questioning it to this day.

Can't decide, but I have a list:

Donnie Darko
Pulp Fiction
Fight Club
Butterfly Effect
Snatch
V for Vendetta
The Matrix

But if I had to choose only one, I'd have to say Donnie Darko.

Children of Men has by far the best cinematography I've ever seen, with the exception of one ugly blood splatter. Every time I watch that movie, I'm in pure amazement, great director.

That film had me so bored I was actually crying in the cinema. No joke. And then my boyfriend wanted to sit through the credits.

[Edit:] OT - Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend, and The Little Mermaid.
Isn't "Urotsukidoji" one of those crazy weird hentai movies with tentacle rape?

Forcing us to chose only 1 is sick!

Best I can do is 5, in no particular order:

The Matrix
American History X
Memento
Terminator 2
The Dark Knight ( :] )

On a side note, alot of people seem to love Donnie Darko, and I honestly think its one of the most overrated movies of all time! No offense to people that like it, just never got what people see in it.

I know, you've never heard of it. But it is, and has remained so for several years, #1 on my list of all time favorite movies. And I watch a LOT of movies. If you ever have the opportunity to watch it, I highly recommend you do so. If or when you do, keep in mind that this movie is very strange in a way I've never seen before... the movie starts out terrible. I don't mean it's slow or anything, I mean the movie is TERRIBLE at the beginning. I was ready to rate the movie a 1/10. As the movie progressed, however, it got better. And better. And better. And then it got good. Then it got better and better, eventually ending up as the best movie I have ever seen. If you watch it, DO NOT FAST FORWARD or give up on it. You will want to desperately. But if you do, you will never understand why it is so magnificent.
