I hate how the related videos are based not just on what is actually related to the video, but also videos that Youtube thinks I will like, which half of the time ends up being videos I have already seen (No Youtube, Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged is not related to this death metal band I was listening to). It's not a huge deal, but it's poorly implemented, and I really don't like the idea of what content I'm shown being influenced by what I've watched (especially when there's no option to disable it).

Also, comments. I don't think I need to say any more.

People ruining otherwise perfectly good clips from movies or television with their shitty taste in music.

If I search "Poltergeist 2" on Youtube, I'm looking for excerpts from the film. I am NOT looking to view 2-3 minutes of poorly synched clips set to your favorite Linkin Park theme.

(For those who are curious, this is the clip I was looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n83c1aFWkOs , chilling no?)
This.

Especially if I'm looking for an anime, but instead get some bullshit AMV with Linkin Park playing in the background

It really needs some kind of forums, the comment sections are a horrible way to communicate.

The oft-changing and frequently nonsensical homepage "feed"... the one that keeps losing customization options somewhere... that annoys me.

As for bad videos, just don't watch 'em. I pretty much only go to youtube for educational videos now... most often to help explain something to my parents.

I don't have any problem with YouTube. I use the search bar to find what videos i want, i subscribe to the channels i like and listen to the commentaries i choose from people i enjoy listening too.

Everything else is too minute to be of any relevance to me, i dislike the ads sure, but everyone does.
pretty much this. i haven't had any real problem with youtube like... ever. i haven't even had problems with the comment section, but it is funny to see the arguments some people get into.
Same. I do dislike the fact that the layout changed but I've got used to it.

Captcha, that reference got boring years ago.

The only gripe I really have about Youtube is the adverts. I don't particularly want to sit through a thirty (or more) second movie about something I won't buy and have no interest in whatsoever, but that's a minor irritation at best. I don't scroll down and read the comments section that often so that doesn't really bother me.

I hate how my inbox will constantly say I have a new reply when I saw the reply a week ago and it will not go away. Also people who decided to go to videos they know they will hate just so they can bash it and try to get attention, and then people fall for it.

I absolutely hate it when I rewind and lose all the video I downloaded. It really pisses me off.

I used to hate the fact that commenters were so hostile, then I just started messing with them.

game review says the story in a game is bad; I say "Games aren't movies! go watch mass effect!" and watch as my inbox fills with raging comments and death threats.
That would be hilarious. I would just laugh at that comment, and Mass Effect is one of my favorite series ever.

Okay, you've shown me an ad on the front page. There's a banner ad next to the video I want to watch. The first video on the list below that ad is also an ad. You want to show an ad of thirty seconds to two minutes before you'll let me see the video I've come here to see, the latter of which (which may, admittedly, be skippable) is quite possibly longer than the content I've come here to see.

Finally, my video comes on- and suddenly, you fill the bottom third of that video with a couple of lines of advertisement.

AAAARGHHHHHHH

Okay, I get it, bandwidth costs, storage costs, "a company has to make money", blah blah blah. But you know what? As far as that last one goes, F#@% you. You're goddamn Google; if you can't get a rate on storage and bandwidth that's cost-effective enough to make that last ad that bumps up over the thing someone has actually come to the site for unnecessary, someone should be f@#$ing losing their job and blacklisted from ever working on the Internet again.

The commenters...literally the worst community I've ever seen.

I also really hate the autotune videos...they're just not funny, and they get way more recognition than they deserve.
Youtube commenters are pretty much the worst scum you can find on the internet.

There isn't a way to make all the comments invisible.

There really, really, really needs to be one.

I'm well aware that the phrase "losing faith in humanity" is hideously overused on internet forums, but Jesus Fucking Christ, I think I can honestly say that reading Youtube comments makes me like our species just that little bit less.
No fucking way man.

I LOVE reading youtueb comments. They are all so hilariously stupid that its just awesome.

And really, HOW is the fact that some people are morons/trolls somehow YOUTUBE´S fault? I never got the way some people use that logic. They are in every single webpage after all...

Also if you hate the comments so much... Dont read them?

Reply Videos and the people that make them need to be sent to the 10th circle of hell.

Also: Pewdiepie. (or most Let's Players in general)

What makes him so... popular? Could someone please explain to me why practically all of his videos have a million views when all he really does it yell profanities at his computer while playing a game?

I don't know where to start. But I'll try.

Video Bloggers, Minecraft Let's Plays, most animated series, anything ending in 'abridged', re-recorded footage of television programs taken on a camcorder, all of the horrible music videos made by modern 'musicians' (as they insist on being called), FMVs, AMVs, Home Videos of annoying children, Call of Duty kill streak videos (and kill-stuff videos from other games as well), crappy stop-motion Lego films kids make, FMVs again, idiotic middle/high schoolers making videos of everything from waterpark outings to airsoft matches, mobile game playthroughs that just have a screen in a sea of blackness because kids don't know anything about proper lighting (or how to even use a camera for that matter), those '8-bit' remixes that sound nothing like 8-bit console sounds at all (in that most people just call it 8-bit because they're uncultured slime who know nothing about...anything, really), incredibly bad anti-comedy series (from brain-dead 6-year-olds like PewdiePie, SMOSH, Tobu-I don't even give a fuck as to how you spell that shit, etc.), though I think what I hate the most--even more than those awful 'comedy' shows are those that actually get onto the television--whether if it just a horrible fan-service film, or a full blown television series.

There are so many, many things that I hate. But most of them are on youtube.

The fact that it refuses to work on Chrome for me.

Or any other browser for me.

I'm blaming Nvidia...ever since changing my PC to house a component by them, YouTube broke!

I CALL BLASPHEMY AND ERR...yeah :(

Oh and the constant layout changing, bad thumbnails on the front page (way too big) and the subscription feed failing to update frequently.
