I know a way you can remove it. when you watch a video there is going to be a lot of stuff in the URL (adressbar) like this: TtAmio3gDNA&playnext=1&videos=X2WOyBWN790&feature=sub. what you do is you remove the last "&" and hit enter. To clarify: you remove this: TtAmio3gDNA&playnext=1&videos=X2WOyBWN790&feature=sub. And hit enter. The video you watched will no longer have that stupid bar.

All I remember is when it popped up, I switched the on switch to off, and I haven't seen it since I left that page. That was the only thing I did. It might have to do with who uploads the video, but I know I didn't change any options anywhere else in my account.grimsprice said:

Yeah, that only works for that particular video. That's still annoying, because the damn thing will come back on any other video. The whole google group is slowly killing itself. Clusterfuck image searches. Star rating removal and now this godawful grey log of excrement at the bottom of the screen.

oh so thats how you turn it off! I didn't see it until later and was thoroughly frustrated by the autoplaying bullshit,
you can take it out if you remove the url from the second "&." Though is it just my internet or has it been a lot slower since this update?

Yeah, I hate it as well. I mean, I can see the appeal if you're setting up a playlist. But don't make it mandatory and permanent. That's ridiculous.
Also, another thing I can't stand is how sometimes, I don't know why, but it won't let me use the search bar. I can use the playlist, and the recommended videos, but if I want to make a search I have to go back to the homepage first.

It is insanely annoying. As is the grey area surrounding copyright content, the stupid commenters (I saw an argument about the army spring up on a dragonforce video once. WTF?) the ads, and my sister's tendency to leave her youtube account signed in, then complain when she ends up with "top ten horror kills" in her recommended list. That last one only happens to me, but believe me, it's annoying.
