Youtube has cancer.

I can switch it off and I do. It's right there at the side "Autoplay on-off".

The problem is turning it off isnt permanent, every new instance of Youtube has to be set again.

I can honestly think of harder things to do during the course of a day.

Raise your hand if you can't stand the auto-play bar at the bottom of youtube videos.

If you don't know, it sets up a queue of videos and plays them when the video youre watching ends. Automatically. Without your consent. And you have to turn it off every single time you go to another video.

Also, you can go up into the URL, and delete everything from "&playnext" on.

I don't understand YouTube. They have a perfectly nice wall to the left of the screen, and yet they haven't stuffed it full off unnecessary links, tabs, videos, adverts, homeless Koala bears etc etc.

Seriously, I think piece by piece they're trying to make sure the viewer can't see anything white around the video.

On the autoplay bar however, I've never used it as I haven't watched a video on YouTube in a long, long time that wasn't embedded somewhere else.

Referring to something as a cancer has been around far far longer than 4chan! Without giving it too much thought, Robocop, 1987 (Detroit has a cancer, that cancer is crime). But I'm pretty sure it was used earlier than that.

I have tried to avoid YouTube since all of my favorite videos have been removed even some AMV's have been taken out b/c of the music they use. It has become so popular it's trying to make money on everything they can, I'm pretty surprised theres not ad's also embedded in the Auto-ply bar.
