Ohhh you are in the case of Fight Club at least. Sadly I think that you already know the whole spiel about that movie, I am so glad I didn't. I started watching that movie thinking it was a boring boxing flick. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how wrong I was... Best. mindfuck. EVER!wc alligator said:I haven't seen The Godfather, Fight Club and A Clockwork Orange either. Don't think I'm missing that much.
From what I've heard it's an absolutely stellar, brutal and a quite different kind of martial arts movie.Ham_authority95 said:What the fuck is "Old Boy"?
Try reading the book of Princess Bride. Quite different but equally hilarious.Kitsuna10060 said:best, movie, EVAR!! there been on time that's been on that i knew about i didn't wanna watch itGabanuka said:Princess Bride. Seriously, see that move now! I can wait.
any one remember Snatch? John Q? or how about Unforgiven?
Old movies do not mean bad movies. Sure, the special effects may be hokey and out of date, but a good story is timeless.YoungZer0 said:Instead of saying "I have no desire watching it" you could state your reason.LadyMint said:I have never seen Fight Club and have no real desire to. Pulp Fiction, yes I've seen that, but I don't find it interesting at all. It was "great" at one point, back when I was a teenager and giggled at things I didn't understand, but now that I've gotten older I find I don't like a lot of Tarantino's works. That's just how it goes, though.
To Topic: I only watched Pulp Fiction twice, i really didn't see what the fuzz was about it. The dialogs were funny, but overall i didn't find the characters or the plot that interesting.
I totally gasp when people tell me they haven't seen The Dark Knight.
That movie is old as fuck. Why would you want to watch it?MrShadowzs said:I have a friend who has never seen the Wizard of Oz, SERIOUSLY IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE
Glue your friend to the sofa and make them watch it. Then apologise about the glue.vxicepickxv said:I think the worst offender is one of my roommates, as she's never seen Groundhog Day.
I actually just watched that for the first time a few days ago, since I was looking for a decent fantasy movie to watch. I didn't like it all that much, but to be fair it seems like it was made for a younger audience.Serenegoose said:The amount of people I've had to introduce to the concentrated awesome that is The Princess Bride sickens me. It's almost....
eh. I won't.
None taken, everyone has the right to have an opinion.CarlMinez said:Now, that is actually my opinion. I never really liked Fight Club for example. And I don't see why anyone would. Too the best of my knowledge, the movie has gotten a pretty mediocre critical reception. (no offense)Arqus_Zed said:You MUST be trolling.CarlMinez said:Fight Club and Pulp Fiction are both simplistic, braindead action films. I don?t see why anyone would want to include these on a list of classic must-see movies.
Not everything has to be a 'The Seventh Seal' or 'Citizen Kane' to be a cult movie you know. (although it wouldn't hurt to go and see them...)
Who?Arqus_Zed said:I made a reference to a Tyler Durden quote, but he didn't seem to get it.
He had never seen Fight Club.
Never heard of that, either.I tried bringing up Old Boy, but he hadn't even heard of that movie.
Can't say I've seen that, either. But when I brought up Pulp Fiction, he hadn't even the slightest idea what the movie was about
*whistles innocently*Oh, and not surprisingly, he had also never seen A Clockwork Orange or The Godfather
